Videos seem to be nowhere of the close combat games. Seems that nobody ever thought of making one.

I think it would be great to show people considering buying the game what it is like. Screenshots just don't do it justice and people think demos are an effort but know tha will just have to watch a video

Especially fun would be capturing those typically detailed CC moments like when a squad goes crazy or runs out of rounds.

My 10mb video is just a test and includes sound, including sound in CC videos is very very important as this is one of the main strengths of the game

check this little bit of footage, poor quality i know. Took me enough time just to find something that would record cc5 and it is quick n dirty. turn up your speakers this has sound and is about 10mb

ok i got a program to do it called SCREENCAM

check this little bit of footage, poor quality i know. Took me enough time just to find something that would record cc5 and it is quick n dirty. turn up your speakers this has sound and is about 10mb

gamerat are you sure camtasia works?? I must have tried all of those common ones. I will get camtasia too Smile

I think CC is perfect for a small scale marine assault.
Or an outpost skirmish

Could be very cool especially the sound effects.

A lot of work would have to be done on the human models in CC though

thanks ironskip I have to turn of directdraw to play the mod.

I already had a pretty fresh inst of XP. I reinstalled cc5 especially to play the mod.

ok seems to that the blt directdraw error happens with most of the maps

is it my elements file or the blt file itself

Note
installed cc5 fresh
installed 501 patch
I installed\unzipped maps to maps folder from the full maps zip
I copied the video folder off the CD to the cc5 root
I installed the plugin

should also be noted that I downloaded the individual map for the gold beach and unzipped it into maps to see if that would help. it did not

can you please release a non-plugin version.

I like to keep multiple copies of games with desktop shortcuts
rather than fiddly time consuming uninstall\reinstall programs

or do what i did, i hate plugins

make a copy of your cc5 install
renam the plugin to zip, unzip into correct directories.
organising by name helps and searching

just downloaded it and gotta say that it is spectacular mod.
Love the new maps and the new tank and weapons sounds

Absolutely brilliant. A friend and I have started the Grand Campaign and are loving it!!!! It is really nice to be done with the hedges maps for once, fences of various types replace these for cover

Super work, one question though. Are their any really large tank battle maps that do justice to the 2-5km engage range?

Also would be nice to have the infantry assaulkt troops loaded into the apcs like in RTB

Been looking at a couple of FTF videos on this site

I noticed in the assets video that they say the LAV25 has an 120mm cannon.
Well this is the first I have heard about it?

This game looks so console a'rama its not funny. Doubt I will be doshing out for it. It looks like it will be RAILBOY rides again in the you can only go one way streets. This is not front line fighting but I am a wannabe Commando.

Heres hoping I am wrong

When I installed the kharkov mod the mp40 sounded like a mg42 and other such strange anomolies.

Anyone else had this problem with the sounds?

Also had some panther Vas turning up graphically and sound wise as american HTs??
