Hi all !
I've been playing CC5 and Longest Day separately for years (bought the CD versions years ago), because I love the Cotentin map of CC5. But now that the Steam release is out, I noticed on Matrix website that the CC5 campaign was available "for download" for LD players.
I may have missed something there, is the original CC5 campaign really available in LD ? I never understood why it didn't merge the beaches and the Cotentin map altogether in LD.
Thanks in advance |

I started an operation and I think it is. When I order them to "Fire", the orange shooting line appears. If the target isn't in their visual range, the orange is darker and the status become "CANT SEE" and they keep sleeping in the grass. When they actually can see their target the orange line is brighter and the Katyusha orgues start singing their hell song ! Moreover if a squad commander has got this special ability too, even if the shooting line is green and if the target is on sight, it will call rockets or mortar shells. This is so powerful ! |

I've seen that some units icons are displayed with a radio on it, may be these units are Katyusha/mortar operators on the battlefield, calling for rocket support ? |

Hi everyone !
Sorry for the up, but I have some troubles too ! After having a lot of fun with the Meuse mod, my friend and I decided to switch to this BoB mod. We had the exact same problem in single battles (with the reading of wreck.azp), in H2H games it seems that this issue is avoided.
However we've noticed that the Katyusha vehicles and some heavy self-propelled mortars are not well displayed on the battlefield. For example with the Katyusha, instead of having the vehicle with 3 crew members, we have a 3 soldier squad team (one of them is actually able to launch rockets ^^). And when we want to use them anyway, their status is "CANT SEE".
May be some files are missing ? We took the BOB file in the link below :)
Thanks in advance for your help ! |

Thanks for your answer !
I was afraid of that, but strangely the frequency of the crashes is random, didn't happen two days ago and yesterday that was for each battle ^^' We'll try these voodoo magic tricks and I'll let you know ! |

It was a pleasure to play this mod against the AI, but even more now again a real human brained strategist !
We had some issues with the gamr though, several times the game crashed with this horrible Windows error message : "CCE.exe has stopped working". Each time it seemed to us that the crash occured when the morale of one side broke down, and instead of getting to the debriefing menu and having our game saved, the game crashed to desktop and the error message appeared. And sadly the battle isn't saved.
Do you have any ideas how to fix this issue ? |

Thanks for your reply ! May be we aren't doing this right.
So we both created the following NAT/PAT rules in our router settings : Internal port : 6073 - External port : 6073 - Protocol : TCP - Destination IP : Our respective internal IP 192.168.X.X; Internal port : 47624 - External port : 47624 - Protocol : TCP - Destination IP : Our respective internal IP 192.168.X.X ; Internal port : 2300 - External port : 2400 - Protocol : Both TCP and UDP - Destination IP : Our respective internal IP 192.168.X.X;
Our firewalls weren't active, neither was the Windows one. Did we miss something ?
Thanks a lot in advance for your help !! |

Hi everyone ! I'm new here with a registered account, but I've read the forums for a long time !
I got an issue with the multiplayer using TLD, with the Meuse mod. I wanted to play with a friend today but we couldn't find each other game with the TCP/UDP method via the multiplayer menu. We opened the ports as I read on the forums (2300-2400, 6073 and 47624) but still we can't find each other. We tried via GameRanger but it doesn't support the Meuse mod...
Do you have any idea how to proceed ??
To conclude I just wanted to thank the Meuse mod team for their work. It's extraordinary to play this campaign in this magnificient game. It was made with a lot of respect and historical accuracy, and as a young french guy with a passion for History, I enjoy it very much ! And as I saw the updated Dinant map today, I'm impressed by the longevity of this project !
Have a nice week-end everyone ! |
