On a side note, Ronson hosted most of the games which may have resulted in a very effective german force.

When playing Stalingrad, russians should host!!!!!

Hello all

ShowUda$(russians) Versus Ptz RONSON (Germans):  STALINGRAD GC  Even line  NO VL rule: MORALE ON

Result:  Total German victory

Ronson won match wiping out the Russians with a surprising 1 map left victory on Oct 4 2 pm turn. Surprising to both sides as position was not so undefendable by russians.   The one map at the 2 pm turn was crossing 62.   The russians had 6 vl hexes and 2 of the defensive mounds.  If russians survived, the next day would have seen about 6 units reappearing on entry maps, 2 of which would have been strong at.   The race to the end should have lasted but Germans attack overwelmed russian D and with 40 seconds left in battle and w/ even with no contact between the sides the russians capitulated and germans received the last 3 VL hexes for a total victory.  Very tuff ending to a titanic defensive struggle to survive.

This Campiagn took place over a 2 1/2 to 3 year to complete.  Ending Feb 2011.

Ronson had too much Germans early on and russian kills of tanks were very meager leaving germans plenty strong.  Russain airattacks throughout were horribly ineffective as well as poor artilary.
Germans may have had no disbanded brigades.

The middle maps were contested as a german tank brigade was shut off after advancing from Dolgiy Gulley  into  Oil Tank Farm map by  unit of russians advancing behind them from N train into Dolgiy Gulley.   Out of supply and cornered in Oil map the german tank brigade  survived against russian tank brigade.  These battles lasted about 3 days until....
The main problem was that Gullry is a one way movement map and since the russians could not retreat back into N Train from Gulley a few turns later, the whole center became very weak.  THE DREADED ONE WAY MAP.    Russains held Mamayan for long time with early Tank brigade of KV's.  Bottom maps collapsed first and north next.

Russians were on heals throughout.  Thought of just surviving with one map was set in early.

SIDE NOTE:  This was Ronson and SHowUda$ second stalingrad gc.  We played an earlier one with me as the Germans.  Ronson surrendered after about 1 week of fighting.  I believe it was his first time playing  as the russians.  I am experienced russian in Stalingrad.

COMMENT:  Stalingrad GC should be played with no VL rule.  Russians need all the help they can get.   If you play VL rule russian strength must go up at least one notch.

The atomic World at War were great. And they are still playable. Nice I have a few unfinished campaigns sitting on a computer 7 years removed from use.

All 3 are great. Stalingrad very good. Can fight just in the town of or play the larger massive campaign of the big russian attack and then Mansteins response.

Just keep your attacks down. Game had attack limits. I think 200 but it has been awhile.

Hello All

I will be posting all my Lazypike / SHowUda$ results here.

I play in Gamespy as SHowU.

This campaign was fininshed about 3 months ago maybe 4.

Show U as the Russians
Lazy took the germans.

Morale On (which i highly recommend for Stalingrad gc's)

Rusult .....
its a russian win in a slugfest.
Germans Russians
KIA 6714 5888
WOUNDED 6038 5271
ARMOR 252 176
VEHICLES 141 10
GUNS 161 085

Estimate russian prisoners between 100 and 135

Lazypike played germans on first view while I had good experince going in.
The campaign lasted many months. Memory of early campaign fades.

I do though recall that early on germans tanks took very heavy toll due to russian experience and german novelty. Many great battles.

The russian end game is to survive. One never knows what one will look like at the end. Russians will for example reform on crossing maps on the 6 am turns right upon german units and also then be supplied also potentiallly causing out of supply german units on adjacent maps

The germans took crossing 62 and STZ North on Sept 30. But Russians recaptured STZ NOrth on the last battle as a defeated brigade reformed and attacked weakening german remnents in teh north. But the subsequent refroming units which rafted over to Crossing 62 were ussually slaughtered.

On Oct 1 S Ferry and Centrals Docs fell. Tsarra Crossing and Grain Elevator weer in contest to the very end but were fimrly in Russian hands by the last days. Tsarra had been won and lost by each at some point. Central docs was split at the end as reforming units ran up against out of supply germans. Freedom square proved very ruff on the russian as solid guards units were positioned in.

The end games map results were as follows:

5 maps were in contest while 2 wre firmly in riussians hands. Rest were all german The russian had control of STZ North and Fallen Fighter Square. Russians out of supply in Freedom map b/c of german unit in Central docs.

Russian and german were in Oil tank Farm(due to russian reform), Lazur, N Traim Station(in solid russian hands), Pavlov's house(both out of supply but russian 137 tank down to last man. and S. Ferry(reform)

The game posted a russian win thus holding a few maps is all russian needs to win. For germans it is and shall ever be TAKE THE WHOLE CITY.

Hello all: want to report completed campaign finished a few months ago

Line game ShowU as BRits LAzy as Germans: Victory for ShowU but i think it had do due with VL points. On map action Lazy for most of the time had the better of the action.

Brits catagory Germans
6065 KIA 4956
5492 wounded 4519
548 armor 248
72 vehicle 113
120 guns 120

Maps at end In contest North of Orne river: Tourvile, Etreville, Maltot
ALl other maps north of ORne in brit hands including german supply barrells.
Brits 5th guard just entered Hill 112 Lower river bridge map. CAAN fully in german hands as last few attempts by brits wiped out. Pegases Merville in Brits controll while Bois Du Bevent in contest. ALl other maps south of Caan in german hands.

Campaign action description. Brits had early trouble up north as bayuex remained in battle contest througout campaign and finally fell approximately sept 25/26. Key to the ultimate victory of the north upper maps was use of Map crossover from Rauray to Lingevres. It seems Lazy was unaware of this crossover and allowed brit tank power to exploit. Before final explotation a brit Tanks brigade held out out of supply gallently in the map just south of Lingevres which has all those hidden bunkers(villers?).

Action for pegasus was vital as southern brit troops never had good supply to airboorne south of pegasus. Germans attacks on Benouville lasted deep into the campaign. In order to keep pressure on the Gerry BG in Benouville Brits sent a brigade after brigade onto Buran held firmly by the germans to try and unsupply the germans. For 4 or 5 days(thats 7 to 9 straight battles) the brits were wiped out on each attempt. Eventually late in sept supply was provided to airborne.

Thus campiagn was mostly germans way but in the end the north breakout tipped the vl count to the BRits. Excellent action and learned much about need to wear down Gerry

The russians can form new bg's or returning brigade at the Ferry terminal.
The Termanal has 3 supply barrels. Russian units on the map will be in supply.

New russian units will enter in small portion of map as if entering from another map

For our 2nd Reg campaign We switched sides and Lazypike took the Americans. Lazypike gets the WIN as game ended with 2 maps contested , all others in Allied hands, 3 taken on last day.

Campiagn was early slugfest with allies bottled up. A mini breakout west of Carentan got somehow sevrely revrsed setting allies realling by June 11.
I attacked forward with the 17th SS and the Mederdat remained in German hands until about June 24. In meantime allies had broken out North very slowly. Fort Raoul remain surrounded and defended for at least 10 days with no supply. The port fell around june 21 but by then the North was very weak for germans who tried to set up SS line to the west coast.

In the south the allies were contained and were wiped out of Insigny. Carntan was still in german hands. German had thought of push to coast about june 16th which lasted 2 days. still it looked like a german victory when the tide turned..

2 main events- one game engine -one generalship. The first game engine was that the german 353'd brigades which were in action only 2 or 3 days. They got cut off and while still strong and were forced to disband about june 24th. BOTH never returned. They disappered with all those unused shreks and AT guns. This lack of at capabilties meant.....

The second envent was Lazypike sandbagging the germans. The allied general refued to reinforce his 4th and 90th divisions unitl JUNE25th. Out of nowhere tanks roamed over the bocage. The roamed and shot. There was even a nasty rumor about some Stuart having over 85 kills.
The end was ugly and backward.

German KIA 4835 5574 allied
wounded 4192 4726
armor 72 236
vehicle 0 24
guns 138 43

Hey all

I am playing a reg501 campaign and the 327/101 and 325/82 air glider bg's
finally arrived on JUNE 29th.

Is this an original bug, correct deployment for game, or no room to land issue?

Thanks
