The most, what I will change are parts in the map "CC2HH-SonBridge". All the other maps are very historical accuracy. The greatest part at Son map ist the "Heart of Jesus Sanatorium" and the "boys school" with the 8,8-Flak.

Even the last Soviet President Gorbachev has admitted the massacre during the perestroika. Therefore, the confirmation from the Washington Post is not so new.

Hello Pzt_Kanov!

No! But when everybody spend enough money that I (and Mafi) can make a complete game that based on the correct historic datas – it is no problem. With enough time and money, I will make a game (based on CC2) with a new graphik. But today, I make only new maps for my happiness. And I need a lot of time for very correct historic maps. Because the problem is, that you need not only historic aerial photos – you need detail photos from all houses of a map! You must know the location of each tree in September 1944 - that's my claim!

Not every detail can appear in a CC2-map, because this would cause technical problems. But I need to know about everything important decision.

A new work on the improved, historically more faithful successor is underway. But it will take some time because many details need to be interpreted and drawn. But already the version that you can already download, is the best historically reconstruction of the "Battle of Son" that has been published for Close Combat. I guarantee it.

For the most scenarios and details I have very good old photos. Only the scenario "Nuenen" has been developed from the outset with an excellent historical material. I will therefore offer the next version of "Nuenen" without new details. I would appreciate, if someone can tell me more historical details at the northern edge of the picture.

Sorry, my English is not the best. I studied a lot of historical data in recent years to create this mod. My first concern was not the "playability", but the historical truth. The next planned version of this mod is even more uncompromising closer to the historical truth – to trim back the legends of the legendary "Bridge of Son" to the historical reality. Without Mafi it would not give this mod. I thank him and all these have made outstanding contributions to CC2 in the past.

Holger

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
