Hi,
this is a lone shot in an old topic,
Q. Is it possible to save the game after capturing, exiting the game, editing the savegame and in this way adding the tank/ cannon (offcourse after adding a captured ..... team via q-clone). Then restarting the game and loading the savegame.
?????
maybe some info??? |

So what program can i use to edit save-games?
When i Use q-clone or BG edit it does not change the bg in saved games. This is at one hand a good thing because if u change battle groups in main database you would change the whole game. Problem is i do not yet know how to change them in saved games.
Please help. |

Do you mean it is possible to do manually, or could it be integrated in a mod so it happens automaticly? |

Ok back to subject, what happens to captured vehicles?
And question 2: Is it possible to ad them to a force pool in game? disregarding all the "rules" that should apply.
In older discussions it was explained to me that it was not possible and could only be done by saving, exiting the game and then edditing the force pool manually. But back then only CC5 was out.
I must say capturing vehicles would be a real extra. It invites for new tactics too where it could become your goal to reenforce your exausted battlegroup with a nice tank of your enemies. Maybe luring tanks to a vp and then try to pressurise it massively so they abandon the tank.
Nice to see that the poll has 100% in favour of being able to use captured equipment.
Maybe it could be done by making it possible to man "wrecks" of abandoned vehicles with vehicle crews stripped of their original vehicle. The game does remember where to place real wrecks on the map when you reenter after former battle.
In real battle I quess guns where the most commonly used captured equipment, until they were out of ammo or had to be transported.
I hope some modders get inspired |

This is really a great mod!!!!
Now I have a few questions, but please understand that the mod is good enough on itself.
- Is it possible to configure the game in a way that captured equipment gets available to players in their next battle? I like to play some campaigns were I have minimum equipment against a strong ai or player and then every time you see you capture a tank for example you wish you could use it in the next battle. The German/Italian force used masses of captured equipment througout the war especially in africa and russia.
-I like the destructivity of the air strikes.
- This Italian General "Gen B. Brunetti", was there really a gen with this name?
- should these minefields really be that invissible, I know I can scan them with right mouse button but this takes forever in planning.
But again it is a great mod!!! |
