More pics from April 18th. It seems that at Reitwein I could not stand more than 2 or 3 turns.

yeah the maps definitely need a makeover... actually considered it a while back

Probably. At Golzow there are 2 bunkers that are virtually indestructible. I put my 2 PaK 40 inside and you see the results. I think that later in the campaign the Russians will be attacking the Reichtag while I'll be stopping them at Golzow.

Btw, nice bunkers  Wink

Frankly, I REALLY like the sound. After 2 or 3 battles in a row, you start to feel how it feeels being under constant Russian artillery. Plus the background sound with those Katyushas ALL the time makes you feel that you're gonna get destroyed not matter what. So after 12 years still a wonderful mod to play, the rest is just cosmetics.

After 11+ years I reinstalled CC5 to play this wonderful mod. I'm in the afternoon turn of the first day of the campaign. Here a pic at Neu Barnim. I kinda think that the Command Post VL is the key to hold this map as long as I can. It got pretty messy but I could hold this positon and KO 2 tanks

Thanks for reply mooxe. I think I'm gonna follow your method. It had been 11 years since I had played BoB and it bring me good memories playing almost the whole campaign with my teams always on ambush and never attack any map  Laughing

Yesterday I reinstalled CC 5 to play BoB. The install was Ok, settings game fast scroll speed low but when I played the first map, my mouse when berserk. I had played since 4 maps using a combination of arrow key and a lot patience. Anybody know how can I reduce the scroll speed?

PostForum: Close Combat Panthers in the Fog   Posted: Fri Aug 04, 2017 3:14 am   Subject: Any tip/advice on reaching Avranches
Here's the situation on August 8th, the 304PzGr/2 SS have to battle on and on and on against armoured formations, it has 3 Pz V, all veterans. The 2PzGr/2SS has 4 Pz IVH and is keeping the left flank of the 304th. Finally the 3PzGr/3SS is apparently the more direct unit to attack Avranches but only has 2 Grille's. Any suggestions on the axis of attack I should take? Or wait until the 2PzRgt/2 SS (it has 4 or 5 Pz V and is 2 to maps behind the 3 PzGr/2SS) arrived?.
Is my very first campaign on PitF and frankly I'm a bit disorientated. Any help will be appreciated

Finally I was able to manage those KT. A combination of PIAT and FF's did the job. BTW, I was able to KO one KT with a hit directly to the front armor. Was the 17 pdr mounted on the FF's that powerful??

Believe it or not, my first wargame was the close combat 1 demo back in 1997. Until then I only played DOOM, Transport Tycoon and Carmen Sandiego

Thanks folk for all the advices but I think I've had rush to Arnehem too fast. The sPzAbt. 506 finally appears at Velp (I have almost all my armoured forces to the NE of Arnhem). Since Velp has a 3-supply depot I think cut the Abt. from supply is out of the question. The first battle is against 214/43rd division (2 firefly and couple of PIAT). With a bit of luck probably I'll disabled one KT)

Hi, I had read some time ago that there's a bug related to the ammo and fuel with some BG. To solve this problem they recommend to save each game after EVERY battle instead of click "Next" button.
Would some one explain me how this works? Thanks in advance !!
