just found nerw offer of GOG.com with their edition of CC:LSA
price is 35,79 PLN, about 9 USD
recently I had terrible experience with other CC GOG release, incompatible with mods, so be careful
but offer is interesting

so slitherine sells the game with MMCC in description having known that it is not functioning for ages? this is fucking cheating of customers |

Hi
I have been trying to install some of the great mods available for CC3 for the GOG version of the game, but so far without luck.
The plugin manager is in the game folder and following the normal procedure does not work. The manager cannot find some specific original file and it is not possible to install. Same actually happens if I try to install CC4 mods.
Anybody here who has actually had luck installing mods for the GOG versions of Close Combat?
Is it because the plugin manager cannot find the correct path to the files or am I missing something?
It's a shame that all those great mods are not being played right now!
Anybody?

MMCC is not working
mods are impossible to install, mod swap option is not active
battle HQ is not active
someone forgot to inform at GOG's CC:CoI site that this game was ripped from all most important features

We own the Close Combat brand, IP, and all releases related to Close Combat. That includes all the old games which are currently being hosted on this site illegally. I'd like to have them removed. Please let me know who I should be dealing with. It is a breach of copyright.
We worked with GOG to bring these classic games back. They have been adapted with GoG's help to run on new operating system so work much better than the original versions.
The revenue from the release of the old games is helping fund the creation of the next game, The Bloody First, which is entering Alpha testing in the next few weeks. We plan to release it later this year. We look forwards to getting the game to you and getting your feedback. Be sure to sign up for the beta test when it becomes available.

so start selling your copyrighted games, I don't see any of this titles on your site, of course for reasonable price, not for 40$ as you sell everything (even 20 years old)
GOG versions are as claims GOG support are not compatible with mods, so generally are useless for us
for your information I have own CD versions from original editions, never used files placed here, but probably most of our collegues used it as backups, which is legal
you produce the bloody first much longer then all previous developers produced all previous versions of close combat series, we probably can expect it in next 5 years or later |

| any chance to dissolve this problem? maybe someone will try to prepare patch for GOG version, in other case their release is almost useless |
