There is an easy fix : play a human opponent, the AI is horrible in CC |

'We want to restore people to their name, which was taken from them over 60 years ago.
'We are not looking for soldiers of the Wehrmacht, not for U.S. GI's, Marines, soldiers of the red army or Polish Military - not for infantry, soldiers, sailors or airmen - not for Good or Bad.
'We are looking for people - Sons, Fathers, Brothers.
'Fallen soldiers are also victims - victims of a gruesome war, which they had not caused and had not wanted.'
You can only have respect for that, thanks for sharing. |

Ok now I see it,
The Soviets where very disciplined troops behaving correctly in every way, The Germans should be glad to have these angels of justice liberating them, those women where just begging to be raped and killed for a 'piece of chocolate' , all the crimes they commited are just propaganda based on nothing but lies. Nonsense.
But everyone else, the Germans and the Western Allies where nothing but scum that behaved like animals, all true and totally not based on after war propaganda at all..interesting.
Personally I think every nation involved in WW2 has blood in it's hands, some more than others, to think otherwise from a conflict in that scale is foolishness.
Just my 2 cents anyway. |

Hello all,
I recently started playing the Meuse mod for TLD H2H.
But I noticed the Germans can not reinforce there Bg's and that is a serious handicap for them.
Does anyone know how or if the Germans get any reinforce option for there Bg's?
Thanks ! |

I installed the mod and it looks really good.
I am waiting to play this H2H now but I wonder if the reinforcement issue has been fixed?
Dima, did you ever get the chance to upload that x2BG update ? |

I agree that the mortars are way way overpowered..it kills assaults and atg's with ease and has enough shells left for the rest of the battle. And Dima is correct, its very hard if not impossible to hit a vehicle or a lone ATG with a single mortar in reality.. |

Gah, does this mean they're FINALLY going to start CC6 after this crap's been released?
I don't mean to sound rude, but I've been waiting for CC6 for nearly a millennia now.

Just think of TLD as CC6 |

Having played the first round of the GC and a couple of single battles i must say i a impressed with this release and IMO finally a step forward after the WaR debacle..night battles are sweet and its nice to see they put some tought on it and not just add it as a cheap sale tactic..
The AI is decent imo, and like Squadleader said it reminded me of CC2 as well, but than again i couldnt care less about the AI as its been from 1990 or so since i played vs the AI
Some minor problems wich are mentioned by Squadleader but for the rest a very polished product although i have only played for about a week now..
The only thing bothering me so far is they used the stock CC5 data it seems for mortars and atg's (mortars can easily destroy ATG when it is not in a building or a bunker) they usually destroy the guns with a couple of shells.
And Gamespy is not included or supported for some strange reason.
I am enjoying this game very much , it has great atmosphere and this could be better than CC5 (technically speaking) and it is still the game we all love. Thanks for bringing this game out !
Cheers. |

Hey Buck,
All i could find about Merksem is this foto from around 1960, the main road is the Bredabaan where most of the fighting took place in 1944 but it looked different in 1944 than on this foto..the blarge building you see behind the church is the new town hall wich was build after the war.ill keep looking for more usefull pictures..

Hello Buck,
Im looking forward to this one, it looks very very promising..
I was wondering if Merksem and Deurne will be included, its directly north of Antwerp and the Canadians liberated Merksem on the 3d of october '44, a month after Antwerp and after bloody streetfights before they where able to cross the Albertcanal/Scheldt..i was wondering because i live in Merksem and it would be very great to have them included..i dont know at what date the mod will start though, im sorry if it is allready said in this forum but i didnt find it..
Regards,
Barre (Pzt_Decoy) |

What i would like to see is CC5 as it was meant to be, fix the supply and disband issues ! Where disbanded units would lose much of there equipment.
These 2 things alone would make a world of difference. |

Hello Dima,
First of all let me congatulate you on a mod very well done, i have been really enjoying this.
But i have to agree with Ronson on the 17pdrs though, it seems to me that the 6pdrs have a better performance against the big cats than the 17pdrs, imo they are a bit too weak and the Brits have nothing else rly to stop the Panthers.
In one occasion my panther survived 6 frontal hits from a 17pdr at medium range and result was an undamaged panther and a destroyed 17pdr . I remember in GJS the fireflys and heavy atg's where really powerfull against panthers and usually damaged them in 2 or even 1 shot if you had some luck.
Cheers. |
