I downloaded the maps individually and applied them to the maps folder, the map file is clearly corrupted. I tested the problem on 2 other computers and had the same issue, not sure who would be in charge of that on this site!

I am using the Ostfront maps, I unzipped them and 2 of them are currupted files, Lvov4 and summer map. I used generic windows unzip and winzip, both had the same issue. Is there anyway to get those maps themselfs or see if we can get a new ostfront maps posted on the download site?

Looking forward to this mod and I know it's summer is slow. I am just curious what progress has been made up to this point.

Thank you that worked and also I tried something else. I did notice on the ostfront plugin that it uses an exe that is older than the patches. I copied the lastest exe in and the game has not crashed.

Hey all,

Not sure if it's the new patch or just windows 7. I currently purchased a new computer and loaded my cc software on it. I was playing Cross of Iron ostfront GC to test out the new AI. I have it set for compatibility mode for windows XP service pack 3. It locks up on the requisition screen when upgrading units or refitting them. I try reloading the saved game and I get stuck on the same screen and unit. This does not happen for every map. Just wondering if anyone else is having these issues, I can get CC5, CCWAR, TLD to work fine. Anyone ever had the same issue or suggestions.

I tried to get in all day Saturday and was not able to get in. People need to log of it when done or admins need to clean up the non-online people that are there. If not some other platform should be used that does not keep offline people in the lobby.

great picture mike...I used to take digital shots from models then shrink them down and use that as a basis, allot of touching up after shrinking them. Are you going to release this as a new mod, change the force pools and allow some of the fancy german equipment to be used. Noticed allot missing while playing it even though it is slotted.

In 1943, in the Russian front, the decorated leader Rolf Steiner is promoted to Sergeant after another successful mission. Titles like "Empires Total War" and "Call of duty 6" are allowed for downloading on there. Steam is a pain, but it allows instant access to purchase games and would allow for allot of people to get into the game.....I know they also old games like Civilization and Sid Myers Railroads...This year "Empires Total War" was a top selling game. I think it would be great for CC if they allowed thier games to be marketed on steam.

I have been away from cc community and recently back into the game this past summer, I played from 1997-2003. At the time I was doing maps, I remember that their where some guides using Adobe Photoshop or other graphical programs. I was wondering if someone still had those documents and also maybe some current mapper’s can share their tips and tricks in doing the excellent maps that they created for the community

Was there not a guide to painting CC maps using Adobe Photo Shop. I remember looking at these around 2003, I think southernland wrote the manual. Are there updated documents on using these tools?

The problem with playing a game like this as an MMO is people working together in squads and having unit organization. I played battleground Europe with my son, which is an MMO of the battle of France in 1940. The weapons cycle through upgrades from 1940-1942 and depending and it resets after every campaign. After playing It for 2 years, I thought it was a very good game and there are days during the week, when (clans or squads) work together to take a town or 2. But I found that allot of people tended to go Rambo, like allot of other FPS games (say call of duty). It is a good concept and is fun, but you will not see everyone work together as you would like too and you need a consistent population of people playing to keep everything active.

Any news on the new release and will it be upgrade to CCWar orTLD games????

Well I purchased a copy of the game and would be willing to play anyone H2H on it. I actually was away from CC for about 5 years. I still have CC2-CCV I did check game spy did not see anyone floating around, looking for players for h2h with any of the mods.
