Im trying to create some scenarios with the ccreq-tool. works fine so far .
But i think i dont have the proper units in the force pool edit menu. for example:
- i cant see the flammpanzer
- i have "sturmpioniere" for germans to select but in game its a 12cm Mortar.
can anyone help me how i can get the right unit-data into the tool ?
(i tried to import data but it didnt change)
thx !

Due to recent circumstances i'm gonna tell you my 50 cents on Tank tacitcs:
First of all: The more the better. Always try to outnumber the enemy if you can. (But that should be obvious)
2. Try to hit from the side or back (that should be obvious, too)
3. Tanks, that are covered are harder to hit. Once i had a PIVH standing in a Hedge with cover "green"[shown on the team display icon]. It needed about 20 shots of M10/Sherman to destroy it (after 5 shots it was immo and Main gun down, but to destroy it it took a long time)
4. Tanks that are on wide open terrain are much more easily hit than tanks that are placed between obstacles (like wrecks, houses, trees). For example: If u sit in a bunker and have a small slot to shoot through and your opponent is in front of that bunker. Then both have the same LOS but everyone will agree, that the one in the open wont have a realistic chance. Same thing counts for tanks.
5. Tanks can be suppressed as any other unit, too. So if you have a mortar nearby then use it to support your tank in his duel.
6. Tanks can be "pushed" by command teams as any other unit, too. So if you have a Command squad nearby then use it and lay it close to your tank. You will see the difference in aiming and shooting speed.
In addition to this effect the tank crews will hardly abandon their tank if a command squad is close.
If anyone has something more to say to this topic: Please do us the favour and write it down .
best regards,

You need the cfgv13-Tool (available at DL-Section). There should be a manualhow to use it and how to use the Plugin-Files, too.
by the way: its the gjs-mod |

here my 50 cents:
The new BG-Graphics are quite good. The Tiger and Panther tanks are well done, too. Now they really are Kings of the Battlefield .
The new Strategic map is really cool, too. I especially admire the little PIVH-Model on that table .
One question: Yesterday i started a GC twice. First time i was set to "recruit" and opponent to "elite" and second time both were "line". The BGs didnt seem to change in their size. Is that wanted or a bug. So far i thought that if im set on "elite" i have less units (especially tanks and atgs) than if im set on "line".
And this is my try to give constructive critics:
If there could be an additional soundmod for those of us who like it with a little more action, that would be really cool, too (like the sounds of SAS).
So far i really like gjs4.4 its pretty cool. Of course there is some of room for improvement and perhaps some people will not like the changes to 4.3 but all in all thats a great work of modding as far as i can tell that.
GJ !

i never played BO so far, so i cant help you with that question. But i can only commend you the SAS mod. The sounds are really fantastic !
First time i played a SAS battle i really was scared (especially the time i heared the 2cm Flak the first time).
The time to play it ?
Dont know. So far i played 6 GCs in Regular (cc 5.01) and never came to ending one of them.
Longest one was about 500 hours of gameplay. i guess the time for any GC in any mod will be similar to that.

i have the 1.3 PluginTool and it works fine with all the mods that are here in the DL-section (including sas 3.5). Plus SAS is easier to install because the maps are included in the *pln-file.
have fun !

hm. i had the thought that with a bigger resolution i would be able to see a larger spot of the map at one time.
that would be very comfortable in game i guess.

u will be able to see a large map yes but your trooper will be very smaller too and it's a problm to detect them ....
|
hm. that could be a problem, thats true.
but i'll never know for sure if i don't get to test it, right ? |
