just one of the great things about cc is that you can play online with 56k, so that is no excuse soldier! Get over to GS and get in the real fight! AI is for bums!

The problem was that for some reason everytime I tried to start or join a MP game it crashed...

Hello the community going well.... But remember me who are u? i never know any skyline in CC5

I'm not surprised that you don't know me but I've been playing Gold, Juno, Sword, Bloody Omaha(more than any other mod), Utah, Stalingrad and countless other mods for a long time now, but I never joined the multiplayer community because at the time I only had 56k connection and couldn't start a MP game at all.

Let's just say I'm kind of a ghoul. I watch everything from under the ground and come out only when it's safe... Twisted Evil

I've been away for a long time studying to be a flight dispatcher among many other things(EVE Online is so fucking incredible...) and was wondering how is the community doing? Anything new since the last 6 months or so? New Utah or Bloody Omaha versions?

Yep I have that! So what other mods should I be looking at? Here's my preference:

What I'm looking for is a realistic experience, but also one with an expanded assortment of tanks and heavy guns. Maybe a good sound mod too.

Stalingrad has a great variety of tanks, vehicles and guns. Also Bloody Omaha is probably the most realistic mod available right now.

Turns out the regular maps aren't so false after all... Keep up the good work. How many maps will be changed with v2?

Turns out my WMI(Windows Management Instrumentation) is completely fucked so I can't access the Advanced tab under my internet connection properties(Firewall) and the only way to fix this is reinstalling Windows.

This sucks because I don't even know if that's the problem. It's not that I can't connect it's simply that I can't launch a multiplayer game under GameSpy(the singleplayer under GameSpy works fine tho)... Mad

Everytime I try to launch a game I get an error message saying : There was an error preventing the game from being launched. Check to make sure the game is properly installed and that the path is correct.

I don't have a firewall and I'm on 56k so I'm pretty sure the problem doesn't come from this.

Can anyone please help me? I really want to play this game online, I've had enough of the shitty AI...

I don't know about CC2 but if a game is labeled as abandonware(available in sites that are specialized in distributing those type of games like Abandonia for example) it's legal to download it because most of the time the company who has the right to this game is 1. closed, 2. gave their approval to distribute the game freely or 3. just doesn't care about that game anymore. So there's nothing illegal about that.

I had the same problem and it's really annoying.

Here's the correct spelling for anyone too lazy to use the character map. Just copy and paste:

Bloody Omaha has the best battle descriptions no doubt -- how does one mod the texts there? I think if that were something that more people could work on we'd have great ones -- to be honest after you've spent a year breaking your ass modding everything else, doing the battle descriptions isn't high on the modders list -- so maybe this is a way the less programming savy could help -- as far as I know the BO battle descriptions were written by a veteran of the battle -- that would be hard to top in any case.

What is the best way to contact the Stalingrad team? I would really love to help them with the battle descriptions. I have alot of free time right now and I feel like I could really help them with this part.

Finally finished downloading Stalingrad on my crappy 56k, played it for about 30 minutes and I really like it but I have a couple questions.

1. Do you plan on making an english voice mod for it?

2. Do you plan on adding descriptions of the areas on the Grand Campaign screen? If so, will it be really nice historical descriptions like in Bloody Omaha or really crappy little text like in GJS?

Would you mind posting a list of all the changes/fixes you wanted to do?

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
