So - what prevented all those things listed from being in the game circa 2000 AD? Perhaps some amazing new computing technology has made these advances possible?
Anyone can look around for themselves at advances in games since CC series began....its quite obvious CC has been left in the dust for some time both conceptually and technically.
I wouldnt refer to myself as disenchanted though, as i do not form personal attachments to such things as games or football teams simply due to my proximity. Its a bit mysterious why someone involved in development(isnt that you schrecken??) would muck around arguing in this forum when you could just prove it by making a game that takes it to another level. |

Nope, its a one time pickup. Would be cool though...also captured tanks dont go in the requisition screen for your own use, bummer! |

Yes, tanks are usually strong in front, weaker in sides, very weak to rear. Turrets have their own armour i believe(sometimes a IS-2 will be untargetable facing a AT gun head on, but it swivels the turret to the side and becomes a target)
It seems like tanks with super elite crews and moral have greater toughness than rookie tanks, but thats hard to prove, and probably not hard to find some people to disagree with that. (queue dima or schreck boiling in here ''blah blah numbers statistics blah blah'' ) |

Egyptians have looted their tombs and such for hundreds of years already...theres plenty of people more interested in their own future than the history of the culture they live in(and the collective benefit from having historical relics aka tourism). |

Never really understood why people would play a FPS game that requires a mouse for skilled play on a system that makes that play impossible |

from program CC req editor v2.3.0 which im sure everyone is familar with this program and even this problem...
Im running xp,sp2, installed MS java (from this sites filebase, exact name for reference; "msjavx86-5.0.3810.0.zip" ) MS java install insists it has installed correctly and no sun java was on this comp either. Just to be sure ill mention im on administrator account
The error message hyperlink, i followed it and there is the correct unpack, pack, etc etc in the exe folder.
Also gives an access violation error crash when closing the program as a final kick-in-the-ass-on-your-way-out goodbye
Also i had errors getting BGEdit running also, no error messages to report since i deleted it in fit of rage...if its relevant ill put it back on and see...all i really want to do is setup some custom battle scenarios and allocate the units to be used |

Amusing, i only had time to watch part 15(random choice) as of this post. Pretty optimistic placing of your halftracks there, lucky the king tiger came through for ya
If you want to see weapon penetration possibilities(you mentioned the tiger not coming under rocket attack) you could load a test game as the opposition vs a king tiger group(create a battle in the editor) then mouse over inbattle...as you know green on tank means killable, black cant hurt it...or atleast the AI wont target a black cursor unit
One thing im really excessive about is checking each units LOS\firing abilities pre battle...understanding elevations in this game is a PITA so you have to hold down right click on terrain to get a elevation number...not very intuitive(am i telling you what you know? probably, but anyway) |

Thats the kind of moral clarity that lets us sleep easy at night take out of fuel tanks\vehicles into battle with confidence in our plans |

The uncertainty had more to do with getting out of fuel vehicles back then it was that vehicles could be counted as dead when they werent, but reading between the lines im pretty sure thats what you meant, so ill go with it... |

Even so, i think you still get the vehicle if it wasnt damaged more than just being out of fuel right? In Bob campaign vs AI, im listed as losing 30+ tanks sofar, when infact i havnt lost any. King tigers keep getting damaged and counting against me, but i got them back.(Just things like immobilized, main gun damaged not out of fuel) So in that case atleast, it says i lost tanks when i didnt |

Some mods have it at 8 mins or something, nice weapon |

Just got around to playing this mod, overall i give it a rating of : Tank balance especially...one thing though, it seems cover is hard to find in this one, according to soldier outlines:display cover. Very little green areas and weaker troops like ostruppen have slaughtered on one occasion 2 AB units crossing a hedge...im not complaining here, i was just checking if my install was whack or something. |

Dunkirk can be considered a success because several hundred thousand troops were pulled out from a hopeless situation when they would have been totally destroyed and\or captured otherwise. Considering neither US nor russia was in the war at that time, UK couldnt afford to go down further in manpower than they already were. |
