Gah, does this mean they're FINALLY going to start CC6 after this crap's been released?

I don't mean to sound rude, but I've been waiting for CC6 for nearly a millennia now. Razz

Hmm, I've only got one suggestion and I don't know if it'll work, but have you tried running the .exe with Win.95/98 compatibility?

CC fans are desperately awaiting a *new* game with a *new* engine. I believe the devs mentioned that CC6 would be using a new engine. So this is why people are getting tired of re releases.

I've always wanted a Starship Troopers scenario and have discussed it over a year ago on another CC forum, but I think it's impossible to model with the current hardcoded limitations of the CC engine. As far as I know, it's impossible to make a unit 'fearless' so you zombies will pretty much always drop for cover in the middle of an assault or break and panic - which is quite un-zombie like.

Though I could be mistaken.

I've always thought about joining the Canadian Forces myself, but my parents won't allow it, haha.

I know because my older brother has tried.

Really cool stuff. I wish there was a 40k mod for CCMT...

For the record, is there actually an armor value for each soldier? Could we actually simulate power armored troops?

I guess I should probably whip out the old credit card and give my support to the developers - mostly in hopes of one day seeing a CC6.

Hey Nomada, how about a new Star Wars mod? Very Happy

I loved your CC5 version. I still play it.

Is that actually a WH40k mod? I can't really tell what makes it that.

What has been altered? There is also a CCV 40k mod by zcharles.

If this CCMT mod is any good, I just might have to buy the game...

Frankly, I think it's a bad idea for another re-release.

CoI didn't do enough to attract new players, so this "getting the name out there again" bit isn't as effective as it sounds.

Their funds are limited, and I don't know how much they expect to retain from this re-release. It would be best if they just focused on CC6 and get on to creating their next CC with that new engine I've been hearing about.

It's a very common problem, no worries. Smile

Right click on your CCV shortcut
Click properties.
Click on the compatibility tab.
Check the box that says "Run this program in compatability mode for:" and set it to Windows 95.

Run the game, and hopefully it should be fixed!

I really liked your mod for CCV, I hope you consider updating it. I saw some new screenshots on the screenshot page of maps that aren't included in the download from this site, what's up with that?

Because I am generally bored with the whole WW2 setting, the Star Wars mod was one of my favorites.

...Until zcharles released his Warhammer 40,000 mod! I love this thing so much. It's much different than any other CC mod. I definitely recommend you try it out.

But the GJS mod is wonderful too. Smile

Crossing bridges is so fun!

I remember one time I crossed a bridge with nearly 2/3 of my force. I used my mortars to lay smoke on the bridge and ahead of it. I also used my guns and machine gunners to fire at possible enemy locations to keep them suppressed while the charge was occurring. Once my men made it past the bridge they found suitable defensive positions and held up until the rest of the battle. I also sent a recon team to capture strategic points all over the map. The battle after that was a slaughter, they had no chance, I had them completely circled in.

I think they should forget about making any more remakes and just start working on CC6 ASAP. We don't want the same thing in a new package, we want a new thing in a new package. That is what will bring new customers and players to the CC franchise.

You know you're losing when all your men are out of ammo and you turn to your last resort which is to lead them into a "glorious and heroic" charge to cut down the enemy with their bayonets.

...Unfortunately, halfway through your men get suppressed, drop to the dirt, and die.

You know you're losing when your enemy has several tanks and your only AT gun is destroyed a few seconds into the game.

Yes, but they can afford it. Wink
