I am running patched unmodded CC5 in vista. It worked fine until I accidentally enabled videos, and know when it starts I hear the sound only of the 1st two videos, and then it just sits there and is unresponsive. I've tried reinstalling patch and game, but the setting are preserved and I can't find the configuration file. Is there anything I can do?

thanks; let me clarify: I have two computers. the Win98 runs cc5 fine but not cc4 or any mods for either. The Vista comuter is much more powerful. CC5 and CC4 and mods used to work fine until I installed the card. Now, both (as well as the demo of CC3) just give me the such an such has encountered a problem and needs to close message. Ive tried repatching and reinstalling to no avail.

Does anyone know why there are sometimes units in your battlegroup that are there in name only - the number of them is always 0, so you can never deploy them?

Does anyone know if Cross of Iron works with Windows Vista Home Basic? I recently ordered a new computer and am wondering if COI will work with it.

I think it says in the manual that there is a 50% chance of no fuel if cut off from supply dumps, or something like that.

Yeah, I feel the same way. Playing on a setting other than fast is like removing trees or KIA soldiers. It's just...wrong. (unless your computer is ancient and can't handle it.)

However, The Tiger's 88 could penetrate the front of a Sherman at a mile's range.

I just learned something! The first Tiger to come to north Africa seized up, and the next broke down - They had almost no reliability.

When A vehicle throws a track or is simply immobilized, it returns to your forcepool as if nothing had happened, because the repair is simple.

Tanks will generally be repaired if damaged or immobilized unless the crew takes too many losses. (I think.)

In cc Okinawa, the shuri castle map screws up my computer. When the battle begins, the morale and time meters are gone, and nothing actually happens. What gives?

Well... May Day is a holiday dozens of other places, too... I merely wanted to point out that Communists go crazy over it not as a celebration of spring, but to celebrate communism or some rubbish like that.

The only one I've heard of is the Tiger tank destroyer - an even BIGGER gun (like maybe 150 mm) mounted on a Tiger chassis.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
