Ich kenn mich nicht besonders gut aus, aber ich hab es auch öfters erlebt, dass Granatwerfer einfach losfeuern so bald dass Spiel anfängt.

It would probably be better if you could post your question in english though, more knowledgeable members might help you out.
I'll try to translate your question:

The gist of the question is whether Grenade Launchers can and will start firing automatically if their Zugtruppe has LOS to the enemy.

Yeah, I wish I could play against a "real" opponent, but all this on-line stuff seems like sucha hassle...

So I just bought my copy for download online, does it already come with the latest patches and fixes, or should I install this patch?

Thanks!

PostForum: Close Combat The Longest Day   Posted: Sun Dec 06, 2009 5:51 pm   Subject: Re: Why does the AI stop its attack?
Ah, I see... I never check time limits, I figure it's more "realistic" to just let the battle go on for as long as it has to.
So basically, I need to put a time limit for the AI to get its butt moving?

Thanks for the answer!

BTW, I "solved" the problem on Gold beach by just putting all my guns up-front on the tree-line... kicked the brits' ass in no time.

I just only downloaded (bought) CC TLD yesterday and I've been having fun playing it, but three times already I've had the same problem: the English stop attacking!
And since their morale is not low enough, I can't have a truce!

It's happened on two different maps.
First time the brits still had both their tanks intact and my PaK were placed pretty far back, so I couldn't hit them, yet they stopped advancing. After what seemed like an eternity I decided to attack with my puny infantry and finally inflicted enough casualties to force a truce.
The second time I was in campaign mode and after the brits had obliterated my two PaK 38's, their remaining tank and infantry just wouldn't budge. Since my troops were all Ost-Truppen and one remaining PaK 41/43, there was little I could do, I had to abort the game.
Third time it was the same map, only I changed to an operation and selected taking all VL's to end the game (thinking it might motivate the AI to attack), but the same thing happened: the bastards refuse to move forward!

What gives?

And I think I have been pretty patient, in all three instances the battles were over 45 minutes long.

Has anybody had this problem?

Alright, thanks a lot for the quick answer!
I'll try to uninstall and then do the full install as well as cleaning up the disk.

PostForum: Close Combat 5: Invasion Normandy   Posted: Tue Dec 01, 2009 6:34 pm   Subject: CC5 stopped working on my computer, help please!
So I finally managed to play CC5 after years of not being able to, but after a while it simply stopped working.
I uninstalled it and it worked again for a while, but now I'm getting the same error message:

"unable to open file C:\Program Files\SSI\Close Combat Invasion Normandy\Maps\Index.mpi"

What the hell is that?
I'm running Vista Starter on an HP desktop (cheap machine I bought for my mom - I use Mac).
The first sign of trouble was when the sound died, I got a notice that said CC5 would work better with a sound card or something. I ejected the disk and restarted the computer, when I put it back in it worked for a while and then died completely. At first it didn't even recognize the disk so I could uninstall the game.
After I managed to uninstall it, it worked for a couple of days and now it won't work again...

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

P.S. Is it possible to play A Bridge too Far on Vista? It looks all wonky on my screen and doesn't seem to run very smoothly. Thansk again!

Silly question here...

So does CC5 run problem-free on Vista? Except for multiplayer, that is...
And does A Bridge Too Far also work?

Thanks!

I've just downloaded the CC2 demo and everytime I try to install, it freezes up at 19%...
I have an old 2001 Toshiba Satellite laptop (CD drive is busted, that's why I'm downloading the demo).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The one I remember is CC2. I'm sure I played a few of those old fighter plane and helicopter games, but I can't even remember what they were about.
But when I got my hands on CC2 I was hooked!
Still am, but I don't have where to play it anymore...

Hello all!
I'm an old fan of CC2 (I've also played a bit of Invasion Normandy) and would like to play again, but the game doesn't work on Apple's OSX...
I've also got an old PC, but the CD drive is bust!
Any suggestions on how I could play CC2?

Thanks guys!
