just one thing to say : chess don't handle hazard, which is a part of all wargame' issue (a fire at a target "never" got same result). So, u can model chess party where each "coup" is knew, but not the easiest wargame one....
the problem with the AI in CC (and other) is how he managed deployment and VLs, also BG standing, managing his own strength related to the "human" opponent one : so he often attack even when his group is cut to pieces and scattered while he would have to regroup on some more secured positions... (but many players do the same )
well, i'm agree with u, it'll be fine to have something better than we know |

. (someone told me tho that a gun's LOS thats put on an elevated floor is taken from the 1st floor..?? is it true?)
|
yes!
|
i'm not sure, put in a second floor building on some map a gun have an entire LOS on it...
guns was put only in fortified buldings, or light structure buldings like barns/granges, or as said mooxe rubble... i don't read anymore, but i wasn't there
for blackblast (schreck and bazooka, not PIAT) firing from a building should reduced considerably the moral of firing unit (and others in the location) but i don't think the game could do that... but it must be possible, at own risk |

I'd love to have diferent maps for Mederet river area.I mean bridges and Mederet river itself .
Yeah,first i named it 'CC5 Realism Mod' .
|
the map of merderet is very close too the reality, some errors occurs in the name... the stream on the map is the merderet river, the village on the east edge is not canquigny, but la Fiere (a part of la Fiere, cause la Fiere village is northern), the Motey Crossroad is not Le Motey but Canquigny...
(le Motey is the village in the South of Amfreville map !)
the map look close to aerial photographie, but some details as roads direction and the manor NorthWest are wrong...
the map of original CC5 represent the theater of the 1057th/91 grenadier rgt counterattack June 6th and 7th against 505th/82nd Airborne CoA
map of SAS35 version is lovely but unreal...
good idea to work on a new version of the Utah sector |
