Can any one make a small review how the new cc is. Is the ai better or is it just a re-release of the old cc4 with minor changes ? |

I think you need to inform yourself a little better before you compare this game to sudden strike.

maybe u need to get some more knowlegdes about CC before u compare WW2 with CC?
i've bought it the day it was out in Russia (half year ago or so) just to prove myself that i was rite about that game . IMO even GIC was better (not to mention about SA).

I have played CC since cc2 was out in the stores. . And that was back in 1997. And then one i played every single close combat i could find.

But the values of the armor soldiers are real.

ye, same for Sudden Strike as well and LOS also.
anyway, that's all IMO.
but they have asked help on russian history forums for help to make WW2 more historical and realistic, guess for v2.

Here is something for you to compare :
Theater of war
http://www.battlefront.com/products/tow/features.html
&
Sudden Strike
http://www.suddenstrike.com/index.php?uid=sudden
The difference between them is quite obvious which one is emphasizing on realism and which one is not.
But i respect if you don't like the game. But calling it "3d, cool looking version of Sudden Strike " is quite far from the truth. |

And let me make it clear so there is no misunderstanding. This is not create it by the people who created Close combat series. And it is quite different game.
But the values of the armor soldiers are real. There is LOS and morale for the soldiers. And many other stuff that makes this game a realistic one not just a another : get your soldiers together and use WW1 tactics on your enemy. |

This is where Close Combat should have gone. Isn't that what they told us with CC:Red Phoenix? But that one seesm to have died? Was there ever an announcement that simtek was not going to make this game in the end?
|
To be quite honest. I lost hope with CC6, it's nothing but talk. No screnshoots no info and for how many years is it in production ? |

I am quite amazed that no one brought this game up. As longstanding fan of Close combat i find this game some what close to CC.

It looks good, but it still needs some improvement. |
