no its not a rip off.
firstly, have a look at the new manual and other documentation that comes with the new release. these a totally reworked manual and a new strategy guide. matrix as always has done a stellar job, and marks them apart as a true wargammers company
Also, the maps have been reworked. Finally now I can tell when I'm on the summit of a hill as opposed to the slope, because you can see the features better.
also i believe the AI behaves a little differently now, better, more aggressive
the interface has been reworked. the overall look is beautiful and elegant.
I recommend the game to both old players and new |

| hi. ive been playing CC5 for a while and I just recently started playing CC4. I have been using a mod which takes some of the tanks out and makes the game more of an infantry battle. I really like this game alot. it seems like i get a much better play from the computer with CC4. basically i get my butt kicked now, wheras with CC5 i would always wipe the enemy easily. Im going to stick with CC4 for a while! |

| yeah, im kinda done with CC5 i think, im going to try CC4 and CC2. better AI. more agressive. the CC5 Ai is really hopless. CC5 is really a head to head game only |

thanxs for the rplies. i do have CC4 and i will give vetbob a try. i guess if you can make it past the 17 december, things take a change for the better if you are playing the allies?

does anyone have an opinion about which of the various CC5 mods had the best gameplay/AI. I have tried various mods myself, but am not sure. maybe this would make for a good poll (maybe its been done before)
