Oh man that's cool, I see they put the FN FAL in. I can't play it at the moment and I suck at installing mods in the first place, but what's the AI like? Typical CC5? |

How about a NATO vs. Communism mod? Rather than including the various wars and proxy wars involving communist and NATO countries, maybe it can just be one big WW3 some time in the '70s (no, not Vietnam)
It's just an idea, but this absolutely cannot work unless there is a way to modify the AI. Unfortunately, Communists (and Americans) fight in a way that allows them to optimize their armies to literally throw as many poorly trained and poorly equiped soldiers at each other until the other side loses. The only difference is that Americans are filthy stinking rich and Communists are filthy stinking poor. The game's AI would have to reflect these attributes.
But enough of the America glorification that occurs in EVERY single game, the AI would have to be different for other NATO countries who adopted the standard NATO doctrine. |

If only I knew how to install mods. I mean I'm not totally retarded, but I screwed something up when trying to install the videos. |

What if I set their type to "assault engineers"? What exactly are assault engineers supposed to do? |

I made a pretty comprehensive mod for CC5 and it's crashing on me. Sometimes when I'm in the menu before the battle starts and I'm picking my guys, but yesterday night it did the unforgivable. It crashed during a battle. No previous mods were installed. Here is a list of things I've changed:
Changed all the weapons
Changed all the teams
Changed all the soldiers
(Didn't delete the original unused weapons, teams, and soldiers though, they're still floating around in QClone)
Changed all the force pools and battle groups
Updated to 5.01
If it has anything to do with it, I made a pretty odd weapon that was firing seconds before the game crashed. It was an auto-cannon. Anyway, how do I stop CC5 from crashing? |

Well that's too bad because I have a Mac and a PC. My Mac is the one with internet, and my PC is just some old PIII that I play Dos games on. I'll check out the mods, thanks. |

It seems that I always wax the computer in CC5. I always get battles where I have 4-10 casualties and the enemy gets 80-110. I never lose or stalemate. I used editors to mod it and make it more difficult. I've fought them undermanned and outgunned. I've fought them as the attacker, as the defender, and I've fought battles where both sides are the attackers. I added sections of infantry with 10 soldiers and I made the computer's battlegroup 5 charisma, 5 morale, 5 tactics, and I still always slaughter them. Is there anyway to make the AI more difficult without just loading them up with more firepower and tanks? |
