PostForum: Close Combat Wacht am Rhein   Posted: Thu Apr 13, 2023 1:26 pm   Subject: Re: VETBoB 71712
I was wrong. The download link in the first post does install the most recent version. I was getting the splash screen mixed up with the main screen.

However, it would still be interesting to have the file mentioned in the previous post.

Thanks.

I downloaded and installed this mod using the download link provided in the first post. However, based on the discussion of this mod in the topic "TT is a genius", this may not be the most up to date version. You know you are using the latest version based on the splash screen. According to that discussion you may need a file named CCWaRModInstallVETBoBv4.00.exe to update to the latest version.

Salhexe uploaded this file but the download link is no longer valid. If anyone has this file, please upload it.

Thanks

[quote="salhexe";p="78016"]Here the link for download the file

Does anyone have the file CCWaRModInstallVETBoBv4.00.exe that salhexe uploaded. That dropbox link is no longer valid.

Thanks.

Paratmar,

No hurry, but please definitely upload everything you have.

Berger, thanks for the additional download link

I didn't know about the other 2 vetmods he made. I notice he still seems to be active. He was posting as late as last month.

ScnelleMeyer,

Good news, just wanted to let you know I was finally able to download it using the cloud.mail link above. I tried that link above a couple of days ago and could not get it to work so I don't know why it suddenly started working.

Thanks ScnelleMeyer,

Yeah I saw that link but I am not going to pay for something that should be free. Anyway, I'd appreciate it if you keep looking for it.

Thanks

Hey ScnelleMeyer, you seem to be the only person who actually got a copy of this mod.

Any chance you can make it available?

Great sound mods.

It's too bad that Hicks never uploaded any of the others that he finished. If you are still around, please make them available.

Thanks

If so, please make it available for download.

I think that Thomm's Quasi-3D CC5 Overview Maps may be of help. They used to be available at http://closecombat.thegamers.net/files/cc53dovm.htm but that link is now dead. Does anyone still have these files?

Here is how this mod is described at God's CC Links:

Thomm designed a program that reads the map data from cc5 and generated new overview maps with this tool that shows the height differences on the maps and the different types of terrain. You can download these overview maps here. Just unzip them in your cc5\maps directory and they will be available to you when you play the game.

I believe that Thomm did the same thing for CC4 maps and you can get an idea of what the CC5 maps probably look like by looking at some of the CC4 screenshots at http://www.fortunecity.com/olympia/simpson/870.

Mafi,

Just thought I'd let you know I found a couple more missing .sit files at your site:

PatchingABTF-KretaMac(v1.1).sit
CC2IconsForMacOSClassic.sit

And one missing Pacific mod map:

Canal5CC2_v2.zip

I can't find VetBoB v1.12 anywhere to download. All I can find is v1.13. Can someone post the complete v1.12 of VetBob, preferably the one that was already in plugin format put together by RescuedShipka of www.close-combat-now.com.

Thanks

Thanks Mafi for the fix. CCEdit now downloads fine.

Slightly off topic, I am surprised you have never written a config manager for the Mac version of CC2.

CCEdit wont download. This same problem also happened at old site. Just get an error message saying the page you are looking for was not found.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
