I managed to run CC TLD in fullscreen at 2560x1440, with a external tool (DxWnd), Windows 10 and nvidia gtx1070
remember save your actual config and compatibility options settings for your cce.exe or cce.exe shortcut, before proceeding
quick steps
- in the options windows in the CC TLD, set the screen resolution to the native or favorite resolution supported by your monitor, and left Windowed mode activated, and close the game
- set the CCE.exe compatibility options and just select "Run this program as an administrator" and "Disable fullscreen optimizations", CCE.exe is located in the drive:\Matrix Games\Close Combat The Longest Day\ (it may be different, verify the path in the executable shortcut)
- Once imported, a new icon will appear, in the new icon "Close Combat 5 matrix games" , right click in the new icon and select "Modify" in the context menu
- in the Main tab go to "Path:" textbox and locate the path for the file CCE.EXE in the CC TLD installation folder
press try, if everything works well, click OK and, files>save the nex time open DXWnd and double click on the icon Close Combat 5 matrix games to play,
yesterday i got the same problem, and i solve it today
you need to remove the entry (Close Combat Invasion Normandy) from "add and remove programs" list
how to:
go to start buton -> run -> and type
regedit (be careful any bad change can broke your system)
goto to this path
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\
and search for this folder entry
{66545400-DEF6-11D3-A09A-00E02919016C}
and remove it (right click over the folder for context menu) and click delete
remember to see the content of the folder in the right side panel, in the row Display Name this must say Close Combat Invasion Normandy and now you can remove this folder entry {66545400-DEF6-11D3-A09A-00E02919016C}
the full path is some thing like this:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{66545400-DEF6-11D3-A09A-00E02919016C}
In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
