i own all close combat games
there is no game that i have played longer and with more enthusiasm like close combat - and the community and mods around here speak for themselves !!!

and i also thought that there will be no game that can come close to this !
but... even when i feel like a betrayer -
i just accidentaly came across a game that for me is close combat in 3d

theatre of war !

in a older post in this forum (which looks like it´s deleted)- you answered the question from me - if the mod would run without the cd (like GJS) - with yes -

now i have installed it - and it needs the cd-

do we really have to use our cd´s for the next 1 year - to be able to play

(i am just afraid to do any harm to my so much loved cd´s)

i always use the overview map to put all units (after selecting them using a mouse sqare) into hide mode first (M) -

then they will change location according to better cover automatically - then i place the units while they are in the M-mode

from that on you can give other orders like attack (X) or whatever - if necessary
