How did you get this?

His location suggests that he's a Marine.

when will this be available if at all to the public?????

I was in the Marines for six years.  Since I got out in '96, I continue to this day to work on a program that uses sims such as CCM6, VBS2, CACCTUS, DVTE, etc. to help Marines train.  So I get to use all these sims throughout the course of training.

As to whether these will ever be released to the public?  I don't know.  I suppose if the programs are dropped from the contract, they may be.  Until then, they're only available to active duty Marines and those of us working in support of them.

When I next get a chance, I'll try to get some screenshots of the artillery FSCC (Fire Support Coordination Center), CFF (call-for-fire), and CAS (close air support) modules.

Marines generally try to press the attack when they have a 3 to 1 advantage...I don't think this is the right way...

Once the smoke cleared I gave him a Move Fast order to the sandbag emplacement (yet another feature).  Alas, he never made it.

I had the lone Marine sprint up to a trench while the smoke screens were still going.  You can barely see it in the position he now occupies.

About 4 casualties were incurred by the OPFOR during the arty strike.  There was a trigger setup to automatically create a rifle squad once five casualties were taken.  However, that didn't occur during this demo.

Next up was the first screening mission using WP.  Three volleys of this occurred at +2, +4, and +6 minutes, allowing the two squads (one guy in the case of this demo) to maneuver w/o wasting all their M203 smoke rounds.

A few rounds from the pre-planned arty strike which signaled the beginning of the Marine attack.

The default starting position.  Note the grid above the squad leader.  This is created by giving him a GPS during setup.

On to the mission.  Running this 9v1 multi-player mission in solo mode, so I only have access to a singe squad leader.  So it's 1v30.

Here's the Op Order.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
