ive never seen so many cards givin in a world-cup!
anyone have an explanation?will there be an inquiry from FIFA as to misconduct?in the Italy-US game,i think that that penalty kick call killed the US spirit and if you look at the replay there
was simply no foul!just my humble opinion that the refs have put a damper on an otherwise excellent WC!

PS-GO AUSTRALIA!SHOCK THE WORLD BOYS!!

Destineer Buys Atomic Games
One Close Combat dev buys another.
by David Adams
May 6, 2005 - Destineer, creators of the recent Close Combat: First to Fight, announced today it has acquired Atomic Games, developers of the original Close Combat strategy series for the PC.

Atomic Games made a name for itself in 1992 when its V for Victory won critical acclaim. The company joins the Destineer as the latter prepares Close Combat: Red Phoenix, a real-time strategy game set in the Korean peninsula. Red Phoenix is scheduled to ship in 2006.

The link below is to everything Close Combat related,i find this by accident when i type in "atomic games"

Why was my post on the Iraqi massacre of women and children removed from this forum?
The title "the mess" states "anything goes here",guess not.
Guess you must be a Bush supporter.....so much for freedom of speech.
I wont bother to post anymore,or read this forum.
If its ok with the powers that be,ill just wait for the latest downloads(if thats ok almighty powers that be).

Let me start of by saying that never being in combat myself,i understand that when a buddy gets blown away i think that the "R.O.E"go out the window in some cases(happened in WW2,Nam,ect ect)
But after learning that Bush found out about this in March and only comented on it after questioned by a reporter the other day is disturbing
If the reports are accurate,it was murder execution style by US troops, house by house, women and children...makes me sick to the stomach!
We are one step away from becoming "storm troopers"with Bush being the evil emperor and Rumsfeld Vader.
Sad

PostForum: The Mess   Posted: Fri May 26, 2006 2:58 pm   Subject: another ww2 joke
A WW2 RAF Veteran was visiting a Convent School to give a speech on his experiences during the war.

He spoke of terrible tales of bloodshed, destruction and nail biting dogfights.

As he neared the end of his speech, he added:

“Oh, I almost forgot to mention the most memorable flight.. my first sortee in the, at the time, brand new Spitfire MKV we had all been waiting for.

We took off, and got into formation. We made our way for the coast of Devon, our mission for the day was to provide air support for a much needed convoy that was set to depart for Malta.

Whilst we were above the fleet, we began messing around, as one does, performing the odd aerobatical manuever, getting to grips with this new wonderful aircraft.

Suddenly over the radio, Lt. Smythe is screaming “FOKKERS!! FOKKERS!! DUE WEST, HIGH!”

He was right, diving down at us from the Sun were a flotilla of Fokkers.”

A quiet mumble soon turns into a haze of whispers amongst the girls as they all have a look of confusuion on their face.

The head sister stands up to address the girls:

“Girls, quiet please. To cease this confusion: A Fokker is a type of German War plane. Captain, please continue.”

“Thank you, sister. You are right.. a Fokker is a type of German war plane, but these fokkers were in Messerchmidts!”

CAN YOU SAY "WHAT THE FUCK"?
Im watching a show on military channel called "the fight for bahgdad" when out of nowhere the "inbed" reporter starts filming road clearing techniques for IED`s,shows convoy formations, tachtical positioning for ambush encounters, the fact that the first thing thats done when enemy is encountered is send for the air calvary(guess whos waiting)!
I mean FFS,doesnt the military or DOD clear these programs before it broadcasted all over the world(including that fucked up media station over there that loves to air excecutions of hosties)
Maybe its just me but im shaking my head on this one.

I'm not convinced American Civil War (ACW, The War of the Rebellion) combat would work well in the CC engine. Would you model the units (squads, sections) as regiments? Remember that there was very little of squad-level action in most ACW combat.

I dont think the makers of the "Star Wars" mod were concerened of this minor problem.D-Day was on a much grander scale also, but it seemed to work well on a smaller scale wouldnt you agree?

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
