What a shame.
I have an NDA for another game and always took it seriously. Not for the legality but my honour and charecter. Plus if you ever want to be involved in another project.
Hope the recovery is quick and the game lives on. |

Thanks
I'm playing the Meuse mod CC5 and it only has 5 battles. One of the battles I played as German and start out on the right center of the map. If I create a battle with the same BGs and map and then play as French, both sides start out in different places than the original. Will this placement be "random" every time? |

Possibly a dumb question for those of you around CC for a while.
What do players do when they have played all the scenarios that come with the games?
Other games that I play have communities that create new scenarios. These games communities seem to create lots of maps.
Do CC players simply use the maps and the scenario editor to create battles? Is this a substitute for a random battle generator?
TIA |

Near the end of the 30 May news on the home page:
" Also coming soon possibly for CC5 is a new version of Red Storm Rising and Battle of Berlin (beta)."
On one hand I would think that CCMT with cold war mods would negate CC5 RSR but on the other hand CC5 has operations and campagns. |

Probably don't need a separate forum for RSR or some of the others either. If work was continuing or the modders were taking requests, squashing bugs, etc, then maybe yes.
Thanks for the reply. |

Anything new on this? I haven't tried it yet as I want to gain some time with 1.0 first.
I made a pln for the rsr1.0 video zip I downloaded from this site.
Any reason that there is not a RSR section in the Mods category of forums?
Nothing posted at CSO RSR forum for quite a while. Did the mod makers move on? |

On the forum index it shows which forums have a new post, but when I click on that forum, there are no icons for threads with new posts or the icon to click to see the latest post. I'll try log off and log on. |

Anyone playing this mod? Have you tried it as French? I played a couple of battles and started a campaign but have been disappointed. The AI just doesn't seem to know what to do to get across the water. |

Thanks to you and all the modders that give longer legs to these games.
BTW the uninstall.txt has the same timestamp as the one in the full download.
I had previously tried the Pvt whatshisname fix but I did not add the file to the pln like I did this time.
I will prefer to play as French vs German AI. |

I finally got this working. I have 5 battles and 5 campaigns. Is this correct?
For future thread readers:
Unzip the 4 pln files from the CC5_Meuse1940 zip into a temp folder.
Rename Meuse_v34_Full from .pln to .zip
Unzip the Meuse updates scripts into the temp folder.
Add the install and uninstall .txt files to the Meuse_v34_Full.zip (this varies depending on your zip program) overwriting the originals.
Rename Meuse_v34_Full from .zip to .pln
Assuming you have a working copy of CC5 and a clean copy of Config manager, copy and paste the 4 .pln files from your temp folder into the Plugins folder of Config manger.
Start Config manager and install Meuse mod and videos. Start from your shortcut to see that all is working. |

I have read this thread and the others and I keep getting errors for map and error 3.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled IIRC 3 times now.
I install CC5, then the 5.01a patch, but not the old 5.01 patch. I copy the video folder from the CD. I unzip all the maps into the map folder.
First time, I used the zips from the wargamer.
Today I used the full mod and maps from this site.
I put the pln files in the plugins folder. This time I also put in the .doc and .txt plus the arcade exe. I haven't tried it yet.
When I get the map error, I notice that the map folder is empty except for some Month files. My Original folder has a lot of files in it including the original maps.
I have XP Home sp2.
Edit: The error is map name not in Data/Battles folder.
