From what I see reported on the Matrix forum, this game was not ready for release. Does not seem to have been tested properly, even though it's been X years in the making. Waiting patiently to jump in. |

3 weeks after I write Vaporware, it's out, lol. Holding out for some improvements (strat map), as the game might have potential. |

And nothing yet. Almost vapoware by now .
Really hoping for: - multiplayer 2-2, or 3-3 map options with proper map sizes - bigger battlegroups than 15 units, make it 20, 25, depending on selected "difficulty" or so - better and agressive/smart AI. What I've seen so far, not great, but this can hopefully be fully programmed for this game. - vehicle routing improved, looks ok so far. - stratmap, preferably with LSA style options, merging/splitting BG's, supply drops/cut-off suppy line etc, to take this game beyond tactical to fully strategic. - easy moddability/map making, preferably with options for modders to import existing mods.
Any compromises in these areas will probably not get me back to a new 'same same but different ' installment. |

Hi Sulla, good luck with your development progress. Just wondering, are you purposely deleting forum topics/posts from the AOC forum? If not, what happened to the game type and strat map wish list topics? Not really motivating to contribute if elaborate constructive posts are actively deleted. |

Oh, if you want to go down that path of discussion, I can really recommend watching this video by prof. Lawrence Wilkerson, ex-senior advisor to the US chief of staff, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YM_MH_Bfq5c. Really insightful, candid video.
I remember him saying, that in 8 years of Reagan only, US committed 58 coups/revolutions/regime changes. The magnitude of the modern global empire is quite staggering.
And once you realize that all things related to war and these geopolitical operations are covered by a non-stop cloud of misinformation, propaganda, and false flagging, from all sides, you have to take it into account when forming your opinion on the media channels, that kindly bring you the "news" every day, right to your living room. Just between the commercials. |

The Japanese history books show a whole different story about WWII nowadays. Rewriting history is a proven and very effective way of propaganda. From what I've seen and read, the Japanese were the most sadistic bast*rds of that war. I bet almost nobody there has heard of Unit 731.
What's more, the US actually gladly accepted the biological warfare data gathered from the Japanese experiments and their "scientists". Only the Russians actually brought these criminals to court, like it should. The west didn't. |

The more I know about WWII, the more I see everybody is it only for themselves, and will form opportuntiy allegiances and discard all their principles if needed, and will twist the truth in their favour.
- The Polish helping the Germans destroy Czechoslovakia - The British false flagging Hitler about the Polish (telling them a Polish attack on Germany was imminent), thus buying time for the Brits' own war preparations while Hitler diverted his troops to Poland. - The British (bank of England) actually helping the nazis sell the Czech gold (that they stored in England for "safekeeping") - The Russians waiting until the Germans were finished with leveling Warsaw, before 'liberating' it (the Polish hate them for this) - The Katyn massacre, blamed on the barbaric Russians, but this could very well have been done by the Nazi's. Reading up on this one. - The mysterious death of Polish general Sikorski (shot even by the British?) - The allies downplaying the Dresden casualty number, till this day. - The Americans gladly welcoming the 'most talented' nazi's during and after the war, well documented. - NATO later having German ex-nazi's on prominent positions, after all, they shared their new enemy, Russia.
War is just one big propaganda machine. If you don't believe anything that's being said during war, and you'll be closer to the truth. That includes the present day fear mongering headlines. |

- Reinstall game . Maybe registry settings have been corrupted? - See if all devices have proper drivers in the device manager, i.e. all the intel/amd/motherboard stuff - Update your graphics/audio driver. Does not need to be the newest, it can be an older version that works better. - Reinstall DirectX |

Very hesitant now, since I read this: http://www.thenewamerican.com/tech/computers/item/21400-windows-10-is-spyware
Nothing surprising in this day and age, but still it p*sses me off big time that the OS itself is being used for data mining. |

IMO, the games went down due to lack of dedication to the players, and blatantly ignoring their suggestions and gripes (A.I., MP lobby, bugs). The bad website is part of that lack of dedciation. Instead, every half-baked release was followed by the next, while retrospectively fixing the previous releases. To give them some creditl, they did improve vehicle pathing at least. But then, while waiting for that "next gen CC", we suddenly hear that there will be no more strategic map with the Bloody Fist, which instantly kills it for me. Same old story. I will only pick it up in a humble bundle 10$ pack now, nothing less.
To me, I hope Sulla or whoever can make that perfect CC game and pull it into the 21st century. Because I think that after 20 years we kinda deserve to have a bugfree, near-perfect experience by now . Just wishing that it could be backward compatible with all those great mods... But I'm not expecting anything. |
