i knew matrix was ran by "special" folks but the port forwarding on a household router is a so über hard technical blackmagik that no matrix customer is expected to do it properly before blowing up their ovens... attitude is surely at an entirely new level of enlightenment. |

samo - i learned my lesson with lsa the hard way honestly... by the sound of it looks like another maps dlc, and a payware one at that with rather sleazy pricing. |

hey all,
been playing singleplayer CC LSA for the past week or so, the ai (opfor and own alike) seems to be rather dull - that's me being polite by the way..
i am wondering which cc version or mod the community thinks is the most challanging, fun and engaging solely from singpleplayer point of view?
mind you, i am not interested fighting against hoards of opfor or fending off superior equipment so that they hide the underlying shortcomings, but rather looking for the better tactician if you get what i mean.
cheers. |

i am involved with falcon4 development and that's where i am basing this opinion of mine on. falcon4 is psuedo-open source since 99 due to it's source code leakage, and in this decade of time frame literally hundreds of coders, novice and pro alike, have poked it's code base, and it's a total mess at the moment. however the end result with close combat is pretty similar from my pov.
problem with software development is the people who can code simply not having the slightest idea what they are trying to simulate emulate mimic etc etc....
to them, usually all it matters is IF a piece of code is bug free and works as intended without causing any additional headaches. past this, any comment or any kind of criticism to their work will be met with the ultimate ignorance on their part because what they created works properly hence can't be wrong.
from the beta tester, management, player pov, going easy on the coders is never an ideal option because if coders are left to their own devices then the end result would be properly working nothing, simple as that. |

hello folks
cc5.01 is running just fine on it's own without the BotS mod enabled but after enabling the BotS mod via configv1.3 i am getting this error:
for the record cc5 is not installed to the default path of c:\program files... but it's on a different drive. is there a file or a registry setting that i can edit to make it work or only an install to the default location is the cure??
tiaa! |
