I asked is multiplayer would be more than 1v1, PipFromSlitherine answered...

Not on release, though we can see what players ask for post-release. Anything beyond 1v1 has progressively smaller player-bases and likelihood of game completion in our experience.

Is he right? I don't think so. Maybe he's right within the confines of Matrix's games but overall most games I see these days are more than 1v1. I think his answer is based more from a capability of Matrix Games than anything else.

Checkout the multi-player on Steel Division.  10v10 on huge maps.  Seamless.  And the games usually go to completion, around 40 mins - well the ones I have played, anyway.
Smaller player base?  "Build it, and they will come".

Morca long time!

Steel Div looks cool. But really almost any WW2 games look cool these days... I just can't make the switch though. If I'm not playing CC, I am not playing any games.

Heya dude.  This feels so similar to CC with similar requisition points etc, just extended slightly.  Multi story buildings fixed, los fixed, morale changed slightly.  And multi player.!.  So far, really enjoyable.  Give it a shot.  I highly recommend it.  It still has the feel of CC, to me anyway.

PostForum: H2H Multiplayer   Posted: Sun Jan 28, 2007 10:23 pm   Subject: Step by Step
I am using Snagit 8 to make game recordings.
capture @ 3 frames / sec with replay @ 9 frames / sec.
The original AVI file created is a bit wierd (you'll know what i mean if you play it), so I optimised with DivX Pro.
I then converted to WMV file, with WinAVI, so everyone can view it.

90 minute game is roughly 75MB.

I am distributing these files via bit torrents. Azureus specifically.
The more that use Azureus, the easier everyone's recording files will be distributed.

These can all be dl'd with Azureus:
http://www.mininova.org/
and search for
Snagit 8
DivX Pro 6
WinAVI Video Converter 7

Step 1:
Download and install Zudeo powered by Azureus
http://www.zudeo.com/az-web/app

Step2:
Search for
Snagit 8
DivX Pro 6
WinAVI Video Converter 7
WinRAR
http://www.mininova.org/

Step 3
Download the above programs using Azureus

Step 4
Install each program

Step 5
Record game:
Snagit->AVI
Settings: record 3 frames/sec | playback 9 frames/sec

Step 6
Convert and compress
DivX Pro: AVI->DIVX
Settings: Portable
WinAVI: DIVX->WMV
Settings: default.....Note: DivX files are actually AVI files with some extra encoding. WinAVI may not recognise the *.divx extension, so you need to choose "*.* All Files" in order to select any DivX files.

Step 7
Use WinRAR or WinZIP to compress the file even further, ready for publishing.

Step 8
Publish using Zudeo.
Press on Publish button and follow the instructions.

Step 9
Advertise recording.
Copy URL from Zudeo and post to TH Forum and CCS Forum.

how are you going to mod the campaign?
i liked the campaign system a lot too

There are still only 3 sectors allowed, but this time we are allotting 4 ops per sector with 4 or 5 maps per op.
I wanted to get as close to 50 new maps as possible, but the final campaign structure will determine if we have to play a couple of battles on the same map or not. I will be doing some fiddling with the campaign structure to see if we can use more than 50 battles, but it is still early days yet.
At this stage we are still going through the actual battle locations, deciding which ones to include, the map linkages and stuff.
But it looks like an initial german attack from the west (sector 1) with two 'uprisings' of partisans in the east (sectors 2 and 3).
The Germans are essentially trying to push the partisans back and disperse them to inefectual groups. The partisans are trying to slow the german advance with guerilla warfare - blowing bridges, roadblocks, railways etc.

CC2 has one of the best campaign structures in the CC series.
CC2 has quite a lot of activity going on over at PL.
CC2 has more ladder games currently being played than any other CC version.
CC2 is a classic.
CC2 has a possible maximum of 50 maps. More than any other in the CC series.
