Stick to the question. Difficulty settings on full. It is a standard game. Not strategic screen. Don't guess. Maybe no one knows why, but it is not working properly.
It may be a stupid question truly. But ive been playing an operation for a long time and have had like 4 or 5 movement phases everyone of which has a couple air strikes, a couple mortar strikes which change in number, but each phase has 4 Artillery strikes. But no matter which one i drag it too, it never sticks. that's what i mean. i would think that if they are giving me 4 strikes they would at least work or 'stick' once in awhile, otherwise they wouldn't (or shouldn't) be there. Right? anyway maybe im missing something stupid. but yah, there it is.
That is, the artillery is shown as available, but it can not be applied to the maps. If it is shown as available, such as airstrikes, or mortar, why can't it be applied just like the others. This is the standard games, not some edited game. That's the question not being answered.
Has this question, the initial question about there being artillery shown as available but can't be applied, has this found a resolution? I have this same problem.
I have a CCV Invasion Normandy game dated 2000. Why is it there are few battles/ops/camps with mortar barrages and air strikes. It puzzles me that there is this feature but is seldom employed. Even in the edit mode I can not figure out how to prompt these features except to get original maps which have say 2 barrages, but I can't add to them. What is the secret for using this feature? The edit mode indicates you can change the barrage and air strike possibilities but i am unable to get any results. I would like to be able, for example, edit a campaign, and have say 3 or 4 barrages, and 2 or 3 or more air strikes, but so far I have not been able to do it.
In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
