Should I just wait then for the servers to classify it in the user missions section?

PostForum: Custom Scenarios   Posted: Sun Apr 29, 2007 9:11 pm   Subject: the file
Ivan, go to the following thread. It is the last file posted, and has a screenshot of the map.

Can you tell me how to upload the file onto the list of downloadable files on the CSO website, so that other users can get it?

Can you please tell me how to upload the following scenario to your list of downloadable scenarios in the DOWNLOAD database?

Since creating the mission, there has been additional discussion, which history buffs might like at: http://www.armchairgeneral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=e74bf5a9c03d87c974ba1b2e5da39998&t=28042

PostForum: Tech Support   Posted: Thu Mar 23, 2006 10:20 am   Subject: For all to find
Finally, I have uploaded the enigmatic Basly.btd to this letter. Now no one on this thread will have any more trouble finding it. They just have to download it from this message, and then paste it into the "map" folder of their CC5 directory.

Even though I finally got the plugin to install ok, when I load the game up, everything works fine, except... the sound.

Even after I restarted my computer it still won't work in the game, although it works for other programs, including other versions of CC5 like Winter War.

Speaking of Winter War, I did historical research, and found that half, but not all, of Viipuri was captured by the Russians as the Armistice went into effect on March 13, 1940. I made a historically accurate battle for Winter War Mod about this interesting event.

I have also attached the battle to this message. Can you advise me how to get this into the "Downloads" section of Closecombat.org and Closecombatseries.net ? I used the upload feature below, and they received it, but it isn't in the site's directory as far as I can tell.

I would also recommend including this battle in any updates to Winter War.

ok, now i am doing the change pln to zip thing. thanks for the tipoff.

Listen, can you give me advice as to what to do with the Normandy maps already in my maps folder? The Karelia mod has some maps for it that go by the same name but are different sizes. Should I download these maps, eg. Engels and Isigny from the website and place them on top of the maps by the same name that come with the game that are already located in the maps file of my CC5 directory?

Kartboy,

My tip for updating- Add in my historically-accuate battle to your game!

Also, change your battles to work as operations. People like me and AT Stalky have found problems with the battles, they crash. But if you turn them into Operations using the scenario editor and adding supply spaces for both sides, then they work!

Good Luck!

Ajk, the problem was that the game couldnt load individual battles just MODs, as AT Stalky explained to me. So I turned them into Ops using the editor and now they work.

I even made my own mission. It's called the Siege of Viipuri and I have attached it. Can you tell me how to add it to the list of battles for people to download, thanks.

Also, I have a hard time seeing how the Finns can win in a two player matchup, the russian tanks are so strong. I want to play someone sometime so they shoiw me i'm wrong.

Good luck,
Rako

PostForum: Close Combat 5: Invasion Normandy   Posted: Mon Feb 13, 2006 8:58 am   Subject: Map not missing
Volksjager,

Unfortunately, the map is not missing. I got it from Closecombatseries.net, and got another version of the map from Closecombat.org

I have the plugin version of Winter War 1.3 . I did not have all the maps for the game when I got the mod. The plugin did not install the maps. However, whenever I did not have a map, I just downloaded it from the website.

The plugin came with the btd files for all the maps, and I had to get the remaining files for the maps from Close Combat Series.net , and then put them in the map folder. If I did not have the map and I chose to "view map" while in the game, the game would crash.

With Pulliniemi, I do have the map, and it will let me "view the map". Also, unlike when I just don't have the map files, it doesn't crash right after I hit "NEXT" after assigning units to teams. Instead, it crashing in the middle of loading up. It has a blue "Loading AI" rectangle, but after that it crashes.

If I do reinstall CC5 and the mod, do you recommend I reinstall it on top of the map folder with the WInter War maps inside? As you know, the uninstall does not necessarily get rid of saved files and map files. Do you mean that I reinstall it on top of a folder with a map folder and the map files inside it?

PostForum: Close Combat 5: Invasion Normandy   Posted: Tue Feb 07, 2006 7:56 am   Subject: Pulniemi Map
At Stalky,

I have Winter War 1.3 and it is very good, but I can't get the game to play battles on the Pulniemi map. I can see the map though, in the viewer in the game, but can't play on it, whether I create my own battles or use the "PULNIEMI BATTLE" that comes with Winter War.

What do you think the problem is, ANZACLord4War said you should be able to advise.

The map for Pulliniemi won't go into battles, although I can view the map otherwise. This happens even if I create my own battles using the scenario editor. How should I fix this.

Could it be because the name was changed from Pulliniemi to Pulleniemi between versions 1.2 and 1.3 ?

The Winter War mod for CC5 is pretty good. The orchestral (no words) song at the battle menu songs great and adds good ambiance. (what is its name?)

For future versions of the game, I suggest adding this Russian song too: Prinimay Nas Suomi Krasavitsa, from 1939. You might consider adding it into the main menu as background music, or, another possibility is if the Russians win.

Here is the Sound File:

And here are the Russian and Finnish Lyrics:
