I was having problems with my game - which was working.
so I deleted it and tried to reinstall it with my original disk.
when i hit install all it asks me is if I want to delete the game - which I did -
tried rebooting all sorts of things.
the setup won't install it just keeps asking if i want to delete the old game.
I'm running
windows XP
AMD 64x2
proc 4200
2 gig ram

Well I got the game started but then after 5 minutes or so it locks up and I get the error message
"Informs directdraw that the previous bit which is transfering information to or from this surface is incomplete"
I think it is realated to the Nvidia card - driver although I read somewere that it could be directx 9 releated issue. |

My freedom spyware indicates a lot of spyware installed from the gamespy site. I deleted it all before then gamespy acted up and I had to reinstall it.
currently it's saying I have 123 spyware programs from gamespy. Most of these are aplication type some are registry. Can you delete any or would it effect the game? |

After I installed GJS the cc5 game comes up as GJS I'm not sure how to go back to the regular mod - I could not find the directioins. I'm also not sure how to install the SAS game. I see that people in gamespy switch the mods around but I could not find directions on how it is done.
I bought the cable modem just so I can play and I'm having no sucsess.
If anyone could offer assistance in the form of links or otherwise I would appreciate it.

I think I'm having the same problem as evilanthonyr is. I played at gamespy with the regular 5.01 mod and everything worked fine. Now I got a Cable modem and downloaded GJS. Followed mooxe's instructions. I can play the game great - by myself but when I go to gamespy and try to play things go astray.
As soon as the game launches the screen goes black and just the pointer is visible. I wait and the game just doesn't start.
I have windows XP and I shut off the firewalls.
I tried hosting and I can't get a connection. Gamespy worked before I downloaded GJS and I can play the game against the computer.
any fix suggestions would be appriciated. |
