Hello all, one of the best war games i played was called "HistoryLine" which was set in the first world war,you had to manage your forces and it was turn based all great stuff i played it for hours on the old Amiga 1500.

The other thing it was able to be installed onto my amazing 40meg scsi hard drive Smile as it came on about 10 floppies Smile

also later on got into the Command and conquer games for the pc.

Hello AT_Stalky well at least the awe64 is ok ? thought it might be a conflict
Also Memory can go bad i had one where half the capacity failed so had to replace due to bad memory messages

A good thing to do is look at the boot sequence when the bios checks the memory capacity 128mb should be showing 131072k ,check that the memory is seated ok aswell and that its locked into place on the motherboard.

But in the end pc`s do get old and slow like us Smile

Hello again AT_Stalky, i used to have an AWE64 value edition or it could have been a Gold ,but sometimes had conflicts with other cards mainly my old 56k US robotics fax modem,i cured it by just moving slots Smile if free.

Creative might have done an ISA version like my old AWE 32 which i still have Smile

Hope you get it working Smile

Good luck

PostForum: Tech Support   Posted: Fri Feb 22, 2008 5:46 am   Subject: AWE64 drivers things to try aswell
Hello again, ok thats no problem,if you can have a look inside your pc,try re seating the soundcard or try another pci slot (or ISA slot).

Windows should pick it up as new hardware and ask for drivers.

Something to try Smile

Good luck

PostForum: Close Combat 5: Invasion Normandy   Posted: Sat Feb 16, 2008 10:13 pm   Subject: making a custom scenario using plain vanilla scenario editor
Hello I`ve started playing all of the close combat series again Smile and i`ve installed and played the fantastic mods for fav game cc5 like stalingrad and Battle for berlin etc.

Just like to know if there is a good guide on here to making custom scenarios a sort of step by step guide, not making actual terrain maps but putting in units to fight each other like infantry v infantry etc.

Hope this makes sense as the cc5 manual isnt much good and doesnt explain things for a newb custom scenario maker.

Any hints or tips appreciated

Best regards Stormo
