Tippi-Simo why you wrote that in dresden died 100.000, you've been there and counted them??? At wikipedia latest casualties raport said it was only 25.000 deaths. How about historic true that land of Ukraine, Belarus and Russia lost millions of peoples due to action of ss, ersatz teams, gestapo or other organizations like them. Not far from my city is nazi german post-concentration camp where many people died due to mass egzekution, starvation, disease. Come and visit this place, read sad writings at monuments, and look how sad is this place, place in which peoples are closed and wait for their last breath in middle of forrest... think little bit more and dont say stupid things. Wonder how you can feel when some people with guns put you in place like this, with little option to survive more than few months. Of course commanders play important role. It is special seen in mod like 'Winter War' where i had nkvd commanders with high morale. When i attack Finns hiding in house with my Russian Conscript soldiers (unexperienced and with low morale) without support from nkvd commanders they were easly beaten by opponent and all dead. With commanders support from close range they didnt panic and maintain good morale. Keep good morale and your soldiers will do the rest for your success
Yes i wrote about 'Winter War'. But 'Karelia 2' which should have name 'Continiuation War' is also awsome (i play it right now). Also good work with that mod
Mod 'Winter War' is hardest mod in cc5, despite that Finns dont have much tanks:( In my grand campaign they had only 10 of them (which were easy destroyed). While playing against computer i make that advance... never replanish positions of my soldiers, never let Finns units go out of map before they exhausted all their battle squads, when their force morale drop till almost nothing i give truce and my divisions movement are same as it was in real war. With this obstacles i've lost 327 tanks in all campaign. For comparision in Gold, Juno, Sword mod i had lost only 105 tanks (even Germans had Panthers and other deathly tanks). And most important in this mod... hard to see and hard to shoot opponent soldiers from tank, not like it is in for example battle of Scheldt where 3 soldiers from my sherman killed togeter around 50 soldiers in turnheuzen while they wanted to cross the bridge Thanks to authors of this mod!!
Is there beter iq of computer soldiers in this mod? But there is nothing more scarry than Finns dig out from snow in winter war mod... there was real hard time when my tanks drive through field and meanwhile 5-10 meters from them Finns appears and throwing granades, explosives or molotovs. I recommend this mod one of hardest vs computer
Super awsome work from your side authors of this mod! And Polish troops where at Scheldt but earlier in half september. It was Polish 1st tank division which liberate towns like Axel and Hulst near Antwerp at 1944 september 16 , where in grand campaign begins Canadian unit NNova Scotia Highlanders. I think grand campaign begins with fight date in game 13 which is realy 1944 october 2nd. Isnt it? I was near Bergen op Zoom years ago;)
To those who have problems with... Can't find the directory : Videos Please reinstall Close Combat. There is easy way to solve this problem... make brand new folder with name Videos in... C:\Program Files\SSI\Close Combat Invasion Normandy This new folder must be empty Then run the game!
I'm impressed how deadly italian mortars are in this mod. More scared when Italians using them than when they have artilery In Normandy Germans have also 80mm and they aren't so deadly there. Anyone knows... when i have two same mortars, which one of this two squads will reload faster?? It depends from stenght of each soldiers??
Good video. Think situation of first day in this campiaign is same as it was in begin of january41. Position of 7div units are same as it said in wikipedia. Then at january 5th-8th was Bardia captured by 7th div, and later at around 23td they reached Tobruk. Funny but in Commonwealth soldiers i can find polish names

Wow to destroy one of tiger tanks, my soldiers fired 12 piat granade ( some miss the target) and around 14 shots from sherman croc enemy didnt respond becouse of no clear shot and exhausted fuel. Tigers are powerfull, and i think best tanks in CC5 Gold,Juno,Sword. Here i want to pay tribute to those soldiers (Americans, British, Canadians, Australia, Poland) who fought in France during WWII for our freedom. I admire someone who can seat in Sherman when combat against Tiger or Panther!
Yesterday my tanks (sherman, firefly) were up against enemy tigers and for sake they had problems to destroy them. I must rather think to damage them and hope Germans dont rapair them to get them through to next days. Only firefly was able to destroy tiger but from close distance. scarry to think that pc can win with me
