I'm about to try out a couple mods single-player... was wondering if the maps and/or campaigns for these were specifically set up to make it a little more balanced for the AI. In other words, do most of the mods offer a better single player experience than the original GC?
there r some special single player mods with 'enchanced AI'.
Try Battle of Berlin.
I'm not in accord with you, playing germans hero vs recruit soviet thus great advantage for soviet, they are stopped at start position and not advance
The best Ai in cc5 for me is in Stalingrad comunque ever poor
For a great Ai try cc4 vetbob the top for single player

Hmm,
Just an idea, but sometimes to get harder AI opponent, I only place guns and tanks, the rest of unit i let be as they are in deploy as I enter the map. This gives u same start situation as AI has, and give u harder battles.
Another idea, is to start game with not make any own moves the first 2 min, and no preset way points.
Another ide, just pick 12? teams, and dont use support.
I guess by self limitations, the game become more fun, but this is just my thoughts, nothing else.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
