I can already see myself spending long hours in a GC with this
Couple of things I've found so far -
*This might not be something, but I thought I would note it - the StuH 42 takes about 20 seconds to load and fire. This might be accurate, but it feels long.
*Infantry, on AMBUSH, where opening fire at targets more than a 100 meters away.
*Infantry were choosing to fire at a cannon about 120 meters away instead of two infantry squads directly infront of them at about 15 meters. I had to manually direct their fire to the infantry. This might just have been circumstance though.
edit*
*The FJ cannons don't fit in houses. This was probably on purpose, but it seems like they should be able to b/c of the compacted size and FJ's historical use of cover.

Hello Mac
Excellent feedback!
“”*This might not be something, but I thought I would note it - the StuH 42 takes about 20 seconds to load and fire. This might be accurate, but it feels long.””
Reply, yes, a bit too long, I agree, I fix to 1.1.
“”Infantry, on AMBUSH, where opening fire at targets more than a 100 meters away.””
Reply, me and Kampfe have tried this in many maps with sneaking and run, and run fast, and.. We dint have that happen with any of the units in Ambush. Not even at 35 meters, not a single time, but if they are fired at they start fire back, and fire at the best target, not necessary the unit who fire against em.
I believe that this is in CC AI.
“”Infantry were choosing to fire at a cannon about 120 meters away instead of two infantry squads directly infront of them at about 15 meters. I had to manually direct their fire to the infantry. This might just have been circumstance though.””
Reply, hm, may be the gun is a bigger threat and maybe an easier target, and depending on the infantry in 15 meter if they are crawling and are less likely to be hit I guess, and maybe covered in a degree or so? But them thing I guess is governed by AI.
“”The FJ cannons don't fit in houses. This was probably on purpose, but it seems like they should be able to b/c of the compacted size and FJ's historical use of cover.””
Reply, that’s meant to be as is, them gun has a huge back blast and would not be good to place in a building. I placed some images of them here below, they are nice guns, light weight and easy to move around, one may use them a bit more tactical than usual guns. Sweden has a similar gun, “IK m/45” it’s found in some few units.
That FJ cannon look like the original recoilless rifle
One other thing: I'm about to launch a GC, and I'm wondering if all of the BG's are used? When I forward through the days, I notice no other BG's come up for the Germans, but this could simply be because they're on the maps that reinforcements are supposed to show up on.
Started to play "Op1" last night with Lordy. So far it's been great fun. We're playing on Line/Line so you have to be real concious about what units you throw into the fire as there aren't a lot and every loss hurts.
One thing I noticed last night was that the ranks of the soldiers in game aren't accurate, as the graphic itself seems to be wrong.
- When selecting units for a regular German infantry unit, I generally picked either the 3 button lapel or the 2 button lapel (seargents). However, while in game, I selected the units and the SS lapel showed up with the same rank every time (I believe it was the lapel with 1 button).
- The officer's lapel seemed right (Grey lapel with either 1 or 2 gold buttons).
So, to clarify, the wrong ranking lapel is showing up in game when you click on enlisted ranked units. The rank circles (activated by hitting the spacebar) seem to be accurate, so I think it's just the image that is off.

Hello Mac
I will have a look at them rank images.
Iv guess i will do totaly new images so its more easy to see what rank is what as I do it.
Much good feedback Mac
Thanks
Stalk
PS edited: the rank images below, is to be in 1.1, if i still like em... There is thought of easy see the ranks for SS, notice the small "bar" in low part of image that give a direct visual idea how high that rank is.
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This mod kicks ass -- finally got a chance to play the first two battles of the GC as the Swedes last night -- just hung back and gave hell when they got in close -- those Stugs chewed me up a bit before they got in close enough to take out -- this is fun mod -- also just beautifully done -- the graphics are great -- the sounds are nice -- I like the fade of the background fire and the cries of anguish and the all of the weapon sounds -- just fantastic -- BRAVO BRAVISSIMO!!!!
Thanks alot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it.
Now because I'm greedy :
Any chance of getting the voice cues pa Svenska at some point?
IN any case -- WELL DONE -- Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm through day one and happy to report that the battle is all in the West now.
Pz1 broke through a bit but we're still holding them off.
NOW -- CRAZY IDEA --
FS II -- Worst Case Scenario
Germany defeats the Soviet Union in '43 and turns to invade Sweden with the full wieght of it's military might. Can the Swedes match Mannerheim and his Finns? Tigers and Panthers descend on Sweden but the Swedes get some Lend Lease weapons and help from the allies with special units in the air and on the ground. -- Just a thought -- Great Mod!
First of all, I'd like to thank you for this awesome mod!
I've played good looking mods recently, but they were too easy against the AI. This one isn't. Well, a player with a bit of experience can win the grand campaign, but it won't be easy. It may be a real challenge in H2H IMO.
the bugs aren't many, but I'm not a specialist, so I've only one question: don't Stugs have MGs? I though Stug IIIG had a remote control MG34, but I may be wrong.
About the FJ guns, they don't fit into buildings (well, the 4,2 cm AT gun can in some), but they can move fast and that's great. The fast moving 7,5cm infantry gun helped my FJ battlegroup to defend Karlstad through waves of heavier swedish battlegroups, even when out of supplies, so I'm fine with them!
And Stugs rule! That saved my day more than once! And even those light french tanks can be really useful if your don't forget to use them like I did a few time (and then had stupid infantry losses).

Hello
Thanx for the feedback,
“First of all, I'd like to thank you for this awesome mod! “
Reply: Thanx for playing it : )

Reply: I will really look into this, but according to Encyclopaedia of German Tanks of Word War Two by Thomas L Jentz, page 84, (Stug 40 Ausf G) it say, “various improvement was were instituted during the production run, including of the saukopf gun mantle in early 1944, the coax MG in early 1944, and the nachverteidigungswaffe and remote controlled MG to the superstructure roof late in spring 1944”
As FS is in Feb 44, the Stug have to do without MG. But they still do fine

Reply: Yes, the L.G. recoilless guns can’t be fitted in to houses, that’s meant to be. They have a huge back blast. They are lightweight as u said, and can be really nice fire support and moveble. But sadly, the back blast make em impossible to place in buildings.
Here is some nice images of them:

Reply: Yes, I totally agree, Swedens AT defence leave much to be desired. One may say, Swedes Infantry can have some bad days in a GC, but can bite now and then, in citys specialy.
But the Swedes are many (2:1), they are plentiful, so It’s really quality vs quantity. But then the Swede tanks come, later in GC, and they are not good, but not bad either, though guns are a bit, "powerless" vs Mk III & IV & Stug.
