battle of the scheldt is being covered by Remi and Dima,i think maybe even 2 mods (not sure)and is not far from completion.
kokoda trail is close to the heart, saw movie a few weeks ago.
but maybe ten times suited as a cc3 gc
as they go the trail 1 way, then back again on the counter.
hope none of the ANZACS read that...
Op Downfall has a lot of merit.mixture of forces.feel i couldnt make the map side of it happen thou.

If you like the westernfront maybe operation EPSOM could be interesting.
A massive allied bulidup in the area northwest of caen. Germany had to put it's best divisons here to fill the gap stop the advance. The german buildup with the XLVII, II SS, I SS pz korps was originally intended for an advance towards Bayeux and thus splitting the allied bridgehead. The allied operational goal with EPSOM was to secure the high ground south of Caen and establish a foothold across the Orne river.
Niether the germans or the Allies managed to obtain their goals maybe a CC player could do better?
Sicilia Mod.
When i heard the first time about the CCV releasing, i did pray for it will be the Sicily campaign ... Or the italy campaign... but well Normandy was good too
Personnaly i would see this area a lot of times. Sicily campaign is for me this kind of mod really good to be with CCV strategy motor. Small map with only 15 Teams for each side. Sicily with approximatly the same ground like in Normandy ... Swamp, Forest, .... but all in level .... This is a mod where Tanks will be not so efficient like their was in Normandy.. Inftry must take the ground alone ... And vehicles will not drive away from road ....
Another aspect is than the German was in Sicily with a lot of units than didnt been in other area .. German Airborne was in heavy number their ...
Tout est possible ... il faut juste connaitre quand.

I was going to say Sicily too. It seems perfect CC scenario both tactically and strategically, with two Allied armies both operating along different thought-trains, and with four nations involved (not including Commonwealth 8th Army troops, which, without researching, I'm sure there were).

Being confused is fine!
But I think Sicily is the best suggestion of the lot. You have a finite strategic map, four nations and a wide spectrum of troop quality, it all makes for the perfect CC campaign in my opinion.
Battle of Hurtgen Forest (German: Schlacht im Hürtgenwald) is the name given to the series of fierce battles fought between the Americans and the Germans during World War II in the Hürtgen forest (or Huertgen forest). The battles took place between 19 September 1944 and 10 February 1945, in a corridor of barely 50 square miles (129 km²) on the Belgian-German border.
