some people, like me never read the manual, much or at all, so learning to do way points, hot keys for keyboard commands for movement, space bar for command readius is not know.

i will to a tutorial in simple terms for simple people, burp....

1 if u want to groupe all your teams into 1 massive uber team, say i are assulting a beach, and u want 'all hands on deck' to fire for effect, u can.

left click, drag over units to select(box only) once u have the yellow squares over desired units, press 'Ctrl' and the number u want assigned.

i dont know the limit(15 lol) but i dont go over 3.

u cant have 1 unit in 2 teams.

so split it into say, morters 1, tanks 2, guns 3, infantry 4. or on juno beach as allies, all units.....amazing how quick a gun can be killed with rifles, morters, mmgs, tanks, atgs all firing at one point.

now if a unit dosent have los, and not a morter, it will simple say its out of LOS, some may be out of range. but its dam fun! if ur jerry on juno its awsome, firing all mg42s at 1 unit at a time, VERY unnerving to see teams die in a second. ditto atgs, 3 firing at 1 sherman at a time, methodically moving to the next (russian tactic, like tergetted volley fire), again bad point, its gives away position, BUT it may confuse opponent to see so much goin on at once.... the AI (you men on defence) picks best target, may be front or long range shot, u choose weakest to kill first.

hope yous learned somtin ?

cheers beers,
tack

Ja, ja, Another thing is to set up by a partly controlled Vl half you half AI at the begenning of the game, dont go to it, wait and see if the is enemy unit going for it then as they git in range, all teams fire, AT against armor and Infantry against infantry

And the men rushed foward in a giant wave and lo and behold they stoped in the middle of the field they were rushing over. And what made them stop askes you, the answer is simple. Anyone except for the very brave and stupid would stop if 5 King Tiger were

Some more tips...

When the timer starts and you spot ATGs its not very wise to tell your tank groups to fire at them. Its better im most cases to leave them on defend and they will take the guns out.

When numbering mortars its better to number them separately. Grouping mortars gives away how many mortars you have. If you opponent knows you have 2 mortars, he knows you only have 13 other teams. So on and so on....

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
