Hi guys,

after encircling the Russian KV battle group in Stalingrad, I see on the strategic map "no ammo - no fuel" for them.

However, they rumble and fire!

In how far are the supplies really reduced, how much ammo do they have?

Will they get new supplies - or perhaps die away?

Thx

With no fuel then 1 in 4 vehicles/tanks (on average) will still be mobile.
Ammo is largely reduced, but units still have some ammo.
(switching out fresh units every round in unsupplied FP guarantees units will be refreshed with some ammo for that fight.)

To regain full fuel and ammo to that BG an uncontested route to big supply depot must be re-established.
Otherwise they won't die away. They'll just be short on fuel/ammo until that supply route is reestablished.

BG's that can not trace a line of supply do not lose all their fuel and ammo right after. It will take a couple turns but they should gradually have the majority of vehicles immobile and be low on ammo (they will not run our completely).

I wonder if you see it as totally out of supply becuase of the fog of war???

I have had it on GJS, Airborne unit OOS. First 3-4 turns they fought ok , then ammo dropped off sharply (for example my Piat crew had only 3 rounds). Then after about 8 turns or so it gets pretty hard, even with rotating squads in the roster, my Piat team would only have 1 round maybe 2. But after that it doesnt drop of any more.
I suppose it simulates scrounging for ammo, and some guys using sneak routes to bring in some extra.

"What is your major malfunction ?????"
