I'm sure this has been asked before but...

Can anyone tell me what happens in an operation when a crew abandons its infantry gun? Is it removed from the pool of available teams? Does the other side have to take the land it's left on? Does it have to be destroyed? If so, how do you destroy an abandoned gun?

Any contributions much appreciated.

Crew can abandons your guns, it will not means that this guns will be deleated from your force pool. But to keep them in your Bg, you need to keep alive the crew and dont let the abandoned Gun fall to your oponent or destroyed. If oponent dont take the area where the gun was abandoned, the gun will still in your force pool. If the oponent conquer this area, the gun will be captured and will go in his force pool. To destroy an abandoned gun, it's easy, just do like if it wasnt abandoned

I don't believe a "captured" enemy gun goes into your forcepool.
And it's about 50/50 (at best) that you'll get your gun or tank back if none of the crew are killed. I always target and kill them anyway just to be sure.

Do you mean if the gun is in friendly territory at the end of the battle? What do you think the probability is if it's in an enemy area? If I get my enemy to abandon a gun but don't manage to capture the land under it by the end of the battle, am I going to see it again, fully functioning, in the next battle?

captured guns(and tanks) are just as good as destroyed.
abandoned guns are subtracted from the forcepool.

Abandoned gun arent subscrived to your force pool if opponent or you dont destroy or capture it( like wruf said it's 50% of chance to keep it but this % is 80% if you arent in out of supply and this % is 30% if you are in out of supply..

Opponent who catch opponent units like gun or tank can use it yes of course but only to repair his owner equipment, one PZ captured means more chance to get his owner equipment repaired if it's dommaged ... Wink that means u will not see one panzer IVG working for allies side Wink

Of course your unit probably won't get a kill if you destroy abandoned guns but since you cannot capture the gun use the "You'll be mine or nobody's!!" Twisted Evil tactic. P.S. thx ZAPPI4 for the info i didn't know that you can destroy guns with grenades (I never tried it actually). Very Happy
