I am hip-deep in my mod and it is progressing fantastically. I feel it has something new and interesting to offer the CC community. And while I can mod and research data with the best I am no mapper - and I am loathe to release it on standard maps; or say, the Stalingrad maps.
I don't want to broadcast the subject matter yet. If you are a mapper looking for a project this one is unique, and I would be happy to let you in on it - and let you review the progress so far to decide if it is of a caliber you would want to be involved with.

Unfortunately, no. I appear to have a loss of functionality with 5CC - due either to my brain or my relatively clunky computer. I have heads-down sattelite photos of the areas I would like to map (real neighborhoods in Denver and some surrounding wilderness) but I cannot get any further on 5CC than opening the image.
If no one is interested in making these maps, can someone point me to a 5CC primer? For like kindergartners? I'm not even sure (after several un- and re- installs) if 5CC is working right.
My mod is 'Warsaw Pact Reborn', a modern invasion of the US by Russia with Eastern and Chinese allies.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
