Hey Guys,

After a bit of testing and fooling around with windows vista (Yes i have a copy of it) i can say with confidence that the game is able to work on windows vista. the only thing you would have to do is change some security settings of the exe file

Cheers Buck

Hi Buck,

Can you post here what needs to be done for future refence?
I do not know how many people will already swap to Vista, but some will and then the question will follow (again and again and again and ...) . Wink

Hey Guys,

As promised a view of the necessary properties for the cc5 exe file. You'll have to do the following things:

1. Compatibility tab: Click on the Checkbox: "Run this program in compatibility mode for"

2. Compatibility tab: Select in the roll-out menu: "Windows 98/ Windows Me"

3. Compatibility tab: Click on the Checkbox: "Run in 640x480 screen resolution"

4. Compatibility tab: Click on the Checkbox: "Run this program as an administrator"

5. Security tab: Click on the button Edit a new window will appear

6. Security tab: Click on the Checkbox: "Full Control" in the collumn Allow and click on ok wich closes the newly appeared window

7. Click on ok

8. Enjoy Gaming cc5

I havent tested this on cc4 or any other version but i presum that will work the same like this. If you install a new mod you will need to do this again for the newly made exe file Wink

Cheers Buck

hey guys,

Here is some additional information for the modders:
gadgetmunger: in order to be able to use this tool u have to install two ocx files being;
Mscomctl.ocx
Comdlg32.ocx

The first one has to be installed using a special setup file (which i`m willing to upload to this website if possible)
Concerning the second file u will have to put the file manually in the C:\windows\system32 folder. Then u have reboot into safe mode, then using the run tool u enter regsvr32 C:\windows\system32\comdlg32.ocx and hit ok.
Then restart the computer into normal mode, now u should be able to use gadgetmunger on windows vista.

Hoped i helped u

Cheers,

Buck
