Hi
New here, have been out of Close Combat land for a few years.
Have been on a mod grabbing frenzy lately and today am dealing with GJS44...while extracting the map pack into my map folder, the 'puter is asking me if I want to replace the text file for DuPont with the text from the map pack...I read that you shouldn't replace any files-merely add the new ones. Is this the case? Am I going to mess up the regular install by replacing the orig. file? Thx in advance.
It happend to me too, i just backed up the original and repleced it, then i loaded GJS44 from the conifg manager. Then i went to see how diff was it and unloaded GJS and played that map on regular CC5 5.01 and it didn't crash or anything, it played normal.

OK, well that's good then...I said "no" to the replacement, guess I'll need to get that map...
Another thing, I am getting Bloody Omaha installed, and the 2 reworked maps, Isigny and St Pierre and their accompanying files wanted to over write the originals, though they are supposed to not do this from what I read. Do you think this is the same thing? Just back it up and it should be alright?

hmmm..
nevermind...I let it "do its' thing" and everything seems to work fine, modded and not modded.

and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
