First great site, glad it's back and thanks for doing it.
2 suggestions (if these have already been addressed and I missed it my apologies...)
1. A different scoring for GCs... ie. it would take a lifetime to get my 55+ 'ops' played medal playing GCs (I tend to only play GCs)
2. Not sure how you score these things but something that takes into account the experience of the opponents would be good. Here's one that I think would work well:
Also has different points for different levels of victory which is a nice feature too I think. If you wanted to get really complex you could further skew the figures with bonuses for those playing the more difficult side (and visa versa).
i.e. Playing Gerry in Der Kessel should receive different points for winning, drawing and even losing (perhaps based on how many days they hold out?) than playing Russia in the same mod.
Ah yes, further topics I will address there, this is half a PR exercise for the ladder too... make people aware. I sent suggestions already via email on the site...
I see what ur saying about the difficulties weighted scoring presents... I think the table in the link presents a very good, rather simple model that accounts for both experience and the level of victory...
As for the more difficult point of accounting for uneven OPS/GCs ... I agree that's too difficult probably best left upto the players themselves to work out
Can we get a old day/new day version of the CCIV ladder back added at that site?
The wwwar ladder is for any version in the close combat family.
Are you talking about the recent games stats?
I'm planing on updating the rating system in the future versions.
That is the main reason I re-coded the ladder into php so I could
keep adding to the wwwar ladder. I appreciate all of your suggestion. :
BTW - It's the World Wide War Ladder not Tournament House.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
