I'm sure that warez-talk is not allowed on the forum..

Go buy the game instead.. Evil or Very Mad

I really don't think ukst034 was looking for a warez product, kuninobu.

I own originals of all 5 Close Combat games (... and COI) and I switch among them frequently. It is annoying to have the wrong disk in the drive.... or to have the disk in the drive spinning for no other reason than to provide the authentication.

I am still looking for a No-CD program for CCIV.

My cd is worn out and many times its imposible to start the game.

I found one patch but its for making a backup cd. Fine for me as long as i can play the game but i dont understand the explination for how to burn it.

It says:

1: Copy entire CD contents to Temp Directory
2: Change file attributes from "Read-Only" to "Archive"
3: Extract and Overwrite Archive to Temp Directory
4: Burn Mode-1 Data Track with Label: "Cc4"
5: Play Game

Anyone hwo can explain what all this means? Would realy apriciate it.

Im not good with computors and dont know if it was to litle info...

The file i downloaded had a crack and a textfile. When i tryed just copy-pasting the crack into the instaled game i just get a normal windows message saying something has failed (no details) and asking me if i want to send a report to windows.

About the instructions i take it they mean the temp directory in the game folder, but thats about what i understand. I dont understand what atributes i am to change as the only ones hwo can be changed to "archive" are the files on the cd, witch the computor wont let me do. Further im not sure what arcive im suposed to extract and overwrit, the crack? Finally ive been looking through nero to find out what a Mode-1 Data Track is but hasnt goten anywhere.

Would really apriciate if anyone could explain what all this means, or tell me if they´ve been banging theire heads against the wall with this crack before

Oh I'm sorry, I remembered that when I bought CC4 it actually included a CD with a No-cd crack in it, to even make it start. Wonder if it was pirated.. but I bought it in a gaming store.. Anyway, when I make backups of my game I get the no-cds from www.gamecopyworld.com, have you tried one from there?

Sorry again, just thought the worst of you in the beginning, sorry yet again!

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
