I seem to recall that in one of the series (maybe CC4?) or in one of the many mods I've played, somebody has figured out how to get gun or vehicle crews to accept move commands.
Does this ring a bell? I'd love to see this again.

just code them differently in sai column
Forget words, actions will show your true ambitions! The Battlefield,In many cases, the terrain of a battlefield can be the best resource a commander has. A clump of trees, an abandoned house, or a drainage ditch can all be powerful tools in the right hands
In any mod and or in the regular CCV, each Comand vehicle/tanks got their crew listening your order and can accept to move, firing or anythings else.
In some mod or regular some more units can do it too...
Afrika got all th crew able to move.
In regular the Sherman flamer too.
etc...
Tout est possible ... il faut juste connaitre quand.

well they would be coded as a light medium gun, change it to bazooka.
will still work as gun, just when they get taken out,u can move them.
i dont do this in my mod,for the reason the gun will appear on the overview map as a shrek or bazooka, thou if u spot it in playing map it will have appearance of ATG.
plus i made all vehicle crews as command crews, and i dont think the gun crews would have much fight in them after having there main weapon taken out of action.

I just played a game (un-modded ccV) against a friend in which he took out my howitzer but the whole crew survived. They ran to the nearest hedge while I laid down some cover fire. They stumbled into the nest of a .30MG I had recently lost. I gave them a fire order to cover my advancing troops, and they began shooting their pathetic pistols at the enemy's hedge, actually managing to kill one. Upon running out of ammo, the gunner scavenged the MG, and the supporting crew began loading and seeking cover for the gunner. They went on to kill 7 or 8 germans and win a few medals.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
