PostPosted: Sat Mar 31, 2007 6:45 pm Post subject: My own SDK campaign Reply with quote

Hi to all,

I thought it would be interesting for you to show how my current Grand Campaign works (I currently plays more on SOC than SDK but still finds some time to find out some SDK improvements).

It is now december 14th, D-Day for the Wintergewitter operation! "My" Kessel is complete, with some hard points in Orlovka and Rynok, while my two airports are really under concern (Pitomnik more than Gumrak where I expect to destroy the Soviets somewhere in the next turns).

In these airports are my two best units for now, pics are attached (my StuG is in Gumrak, my PaK 38 is in Pitomnik).

I play of course as GerVet against Russian AI.

What is -for me- nice is that my campaign is quite similar to what historically happened! The front of Stalingrad is still solid (Rynok and Orlovka are free, Plochad is 80% is my hands aso...) while the units fighting in the Kessel limits are on ther knife edge (mainly in the southern belt). Kalatch is still parrtly occupied by the axis forces (!!) as well as Golubinskaïa. And, as you will see, my Lascar group is still holdind its position in the Raspopinskaïa area!!

I will tomorrow begin to use my southern forces and will try to destroy eveything around the upper Don!

It is still a minor Axis Victory but I really wait for a major one!

Attached are my current position and the pics of my favorites.

Cheers
Panzerjäger

We are now december 15th, 1942.

- The Wintergewitter operation is until now a big success. The 6th PzD has reached the area of Kalatch and is fighting hard against the KV's of a strong Soviet Division. As the situation is, I hope to be able to liberate Kalatch tomorrow or so. The next objective will be Marinovka where my battlegroup is desperately fighting in face of much better forces for 2 weeks. Thanks anyway to panzerjägers and panzerabwehr units: we are still here!

- Lascar group in Raspopinskaïa and the Romanian aroored division are still here! And they are on the way to hold the terrain at any price! Whaow!! However, these two battlegroups are close to nothing now....I cannot imagine what will be their situation when the soviet forces all around will counterattack....

- The airports area is close to be cleared. Gumrak is now 100% in our hands and thanks to the fantastic job of the AT guns of the 212/79, Pitomnik will be be cleared soon. Pak 38 and 41 have made here q real massacre. This will be shown in an other post soon.

Well, I hope you enjoy your own campaign. Don't hesiate to post your successes on this forum.

Cheers
Panzerjäger

P.S. This campaign is played with the German Vetmod (the OFFICIAL one, of course).
