hi all, reading an old post about ww1 close combat mods got me thinking about post ww2 battles/campaigns(i know theres RSR mod but i mean factual) that might work well with cc,what about dien ben phu(spelling)the cream of the french colonial army well dug in fortified positions v masses of highly motivated but poorly equipped viet minh or maybe the falklands, highly trained and motivated but low in numbers british troops v a argentine mainly conscript force that was well equiped and well dug in but poorly led.i think these would make great mods.there's a few more i can think of such as russians v chechens.isrealis in operation peace for galilee v the plo.any body else got suggestions or do you think its in poor taste wargaming recent wars.
Well for post WW2 mod their are a few, but not many.
CC2
-Project Reality (Balkans, NATO vs. Serb, sort of fictional, it was never finished)
CC3
-Vietnam
-IndoWar (Indochina, Corsair hasn't finished it yet)
-Valley of Tears (Arab/Israel conflict 1948 to 1982, again still in the works, its being made by some of the same guys who made RSR)

-Squad Leader (Another project in the making this time by master468, focusing on small teams fighting in Iraq.)
CC5-
-Red Storm Rising
-Vietnam(Another mod in the works this time by members of the Pzt gruppe)

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
