just a quick hello to all allies.
i will post some screen shots of likely germans guns for day 1.
i would like all to just sign in, say hello, brief time playing CCV/GJS/TRSM(is it installed for instance)
also please give a basic level of your skill in CC, if your best at attack, defence, good all round maybe, but not compulsary.
TRSM is a unusual mod, and i think early on allies have great strength over germans, untill the mk4's/panthers roll in. its important not to be to afraid or underestimate these tanks.
I have regularly taken panthers down with piat Bren carriers,6lb guns(my favourite weapon)and M10's are quite effective even against panthers!(but slow turrent!!!), shermans usually do well 1 on 1, and i have won more contacts then LOST against mk4's. watch out for those pesky 20mm (any 20mm AA gun) armoured cars, they destroy infantry/guns/tetrahs/stuarts and i have lost shermans to them!!!
just be aware of those 88 AA and PaK guns, there FAST and deadly.
also watch the german 'small guns' the 37mm/45mm have 3 rds of 'spiggot'SP rounds, these can take down ANY tank front on, EXCEPT crocodile! hes always front and centre of beach assults!!!!!
PanzerShrecks have limited range(150m?) and poor ability to destroy shermans, and are not issued to many units, its like a darn bazooka is quite weak compared to GJS.but still watch side shots. panzercrecks at 30M are almost always a KILL,deadly...other anti tanks mines are resonabely innefective and suicidal for desperate troops.
open top half truck with 75mm PaK guns are as deadly as any mauder/mk4.BUT the Infantry gun version(louder sound like infantry gun) is weaker,like tetrah ICS.
morters seem Less effective on Guns and trucks/open tanks, really for suppression ONLY. sometimes when attacking i take NO morters(if against infantry in town/street fighting)ALWAYS USE MORTERS when meeting engagments to kill running germans, this is best time. save some rounds for last minute counterattacks.
allied Paras are Great fighters, always try to pick teams with the mk48? 'phos grenade(looks like stick grenade symbol) and the mk84 grenade(looks like a plastic bag bomb(not red) they kill tanks at close range,taken down some mk4's with them)
Vickers are slow to set up, and dont bother moving them around to much,slow as hell.
tetrahs 37mm gun can take a tank side on, but most times u will loose, fire and run away! the 75mm inf ICS can take a tank, but watch out it has NO MG. both thin skinned.
those bren carriers with 2 bren guns and piat are GREAT, but the PIAT takes 20/30 seconds to reload, much longer then infantry. Fire and run away(move slow to rear command, not fast)
Always DO somekind of recon/scouting with infantry before rushing a tank through as a general rule.
I would take my skills to the field against any opponent attack or defence.
Exp in cc5, about 2 years (on and off), gjs - played MANY GCs - record thus far shows only 1 defeat long time ago - TRSM played 2 battles against AI O_o... need prac...
