When you select a unit on the field and right click and select "Fire" from the pop-up menu, the green part of the line (from the unit to your mouse cursor) is that unit's Line of sight. Where the line changes from green to red is as far as that unit can see. A bright green line means they can see well, where the line is a darker green, they can see but not quite as well. That's how you can determine each unit's line of sight (los).
