PostPosted: Sun Nov 18, 2007 2:22 pm Post subject: Problem with Vista and my CC5 Original Reply with quote

Hi,

I have Vista iin my PC. I've installed several mods (running as W98) but some of them don't run because they need the original CD but I have the ORIGINAL CD.

What can I do?

The mods I have:

- Afrika - OK
- Berlin - OK
- GJS - OK
- Meuse - OK
- Stalingrad der Kessel - OK
- Utah - OK but installing Meuse CC5 exe
- Ardenas - Doesn't work.
- Bloody Omaha - Doesn't work.
- El Alamein - Doesn't work
- Winter War - I can't install it.

Thanks

Pd. Sorry for my English

firstly, is it a PC or laptop?

is it vista 32 bit or 64 bit?

laptops have problems with CCV i found, but there are work arounds.

vista 64 bit has program problems also, but with persistance, work arounds(like Xp64 bit had problems)

vista 32 bit on my PC works fine with win98 compatibility mode, and CoI and CCMT are fine as is.

try reinstalling it all, dont forget to add video folder from CD to CCV folder.

uninstall remnants of old ccv(installer asks to do this) when reinstalling(save any battles first, have maps backed up if not original ccv maps of course)

Hi ANZAC_Tack and thanks.

I have a PC with Vista 32 bits.

I've reinstalled it several times (Always copying the Videos Folder)and W98 compatibility.

But the most strange thing is that some mods works and others no. Rolling Eyes

and they and worked In my old PC (XP SP2).
